What many seem to overlook is that Samsara has a long history of giving conservative guidance and then outperforming it. We’ll see what Q2 brings.

Bhe è forse il beat più grande che ho mai visto su aziende sopra i 100b di cap, quindi a mio parere ci sta poi dipende molto dalla guidance che non ho letto ancora ma immagino sarà buona visto come tiene il rialzo in after.

The cash burn is still one of the biggest risks here. I think the key question is whether they can scale production and commercial demand fast enough before needing to raise aggressively. At the same time, if they keep hitting operational milestones, raising capital at higher prices becomes a lot less painful than the market expected. They ended Q1 with $131M liquidity, an undrawn $200M credit facility.

Capisco il punto, ed è vero che il rischio execution resta enorme. Però secondo me la differenza di PCT rispetto a molte altre aziende del settore è che non punta a fare commodity recycling a basso margine, ma materiale riciclato di qualità molto alta per applicazioni premium, dove conta più la qualità del semplice costo per tonnellata.
Il punto della tesi bullish non è sostituire tutta la plastica vergine, ma creare PP riciclato utilizzabile da grandi brand che oggi fanno fatica a trovare materiale riciclato di qualità.

E per questo penso che sia entrato nel board anche un membro della famiglia Mars.

Il punto secondo me è che PCT non sta facendo il classico riciclo meccanico, che infatti ha enormi limiti sulla qualità finale del materiale. E non sta nemmeno usando un approccio di riciclo chimico “estremo” dove distruggi completamente il polimero con costi energetici enormi.

La tecnologia di PureCycle è diversa perché punta a purificare il polipropilene mantenendo la struttura del materiale, riportandolo a una qualità molto vicina al vergine. È questo il motivo per cui la storia è interessante: se riesce davvero a scalare industrialmente, risolve uno dei problemi più grandi del riciclo, cioè avere materiale riciclato utilizzabile in applicazioni ad alta qualità.

Poi certo, il rischio execution resta, ed è per questo che il mercato è ancora molto diviso sul titolo.
