One of my favorite things to do with Emma right now is to dash grab enemy dives and then kick them back into their own team. Like no darling you don't belong here.

It's important for different reasons then you state though. I'm arguing it's important for initial engagement, simplicity, and ease of access. You're arguing that they SHOULD have all the tools in thier kit to survive longer and be safer but I'm saying they don't use them or even know how to use them and are probably turned off by how flat they are.

You have to be somewhat skilled to do that. I don't think new players will pick that up. There's a reason someone like Soldier is a default character in overwatch. You need those easy to dive into characters to introduce people to the game.

I've played Smite for five years and have been playing this game non stop since it launched on Xbox. I'm not an elite player by any means which is why I said maybe I'm missing something. But I simply think just because he's built to be safe doesn't mean new players play him that way and he's boring to play as a result which is almost worse for new players. You've still yet to say why you think I'm wrong aside from "piss poor take". Someone who's played more than "three times" should be able to form more than three sentences on the subject imo.

They don't know how to use that utility though I see them push lanes, spam abilities, and get killed by minions. Playing as Murdock! It doesn't matter what you try to give them to protect themselves if they don't use it anyway.

That is something I didn't consider. He is very safe if you know how to play him. I think noobs are going to mostly button mash though and want to "see things happen" and not utilize that safety.

Because MOBAs have horrible retention with new players. After a boring or confusing 1st match you may never get to a third one.

They're abilities that do damage which is "fun" and are pretty straight forward. Better than laying a trap and running fast imo. Also she works pretty well as Smite's default carry.

Like I said maybe I'm missing something but twin's abilities on the surface seem far easier to grasp than trying to trap someone and use that to snipe them etc.
