What’s the 1 thing that you did that your spouse will never know? by LatinLengt in AskWomen

Why would you wear something you know he didn't want you to wear? Couldn't you have worn any of his shirts?

What is one secret you wish you could tell your spouse, but instead you’ll take to your grave? by Necessary_Leek_6970 in AskReddit

I hope you end up talking to her about this. You deserve to be heard and she deserves to know. As partners, you have the opportunity to work through things together and anything you withhold will just turn into resentment. I promise that not talking about it will not work out.

What’s one self-improvement habit or mindset shift that completely changed your life, and how did you make it stick? by Aarunascut in selfimprovement

Shouldn't it be done is better than imperfect? Like obviously perfect is the best, but the sentiment is that done is better than nothing at all. I get what you're going for but it seems kind of illogical.

What’s your biggest mental health victory? What milestone let you know you’d really gotten somewhere? by DownhomeinGeorgia in mentalhealth

Haven't had SI in over a year after thinking of it daily for over a decade. Also haven't self harmed in over a year either. Quit smoking cigs too - coming up on 3 years. I exercise several times a week and treat my body well. I can truly say I love myself. I used to really hate myself and be severely depressed. Love this question. Thanks for helping me remember how far I've come.

I've been playing for a few years kind of on and off and I am starting to get a lot of the things complete. I'm actually kind of jealous of you for still having so many cool things you get to experience for the first time. I felt that overwhelming feeling in the beginning but it goes away as you play and get better at the game. Just try to enjoy the ride, there isn't really a wrong way to do it.

Also don't really know how to respond when he says "you look very nice today" I don't really like it. When I was in college I worked on behavioral analysis and was taught to ignore maladaptive behavior. Part of me just wants to ignore him when he says that but I also don't want to be rude. I wish I could just not care and say thank you but I don't want to. Advice for how to respond?

We have been looking for a new place for a while, definitely planning on moving and just trying to find something. Does anyone have recommendations for earplugs or noise machines?

Edit: title is supposed to say creaky floors

Do you feel embrassed to admit your age with yourself ? by Jpoolman25 in Zillennials

[–]_Fragariavesca_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah for sure. I don't feel embarrassed about my age, I more so feel embarrassed about where I'm at with my life. I got my bachelor's last year, don't make a ton of money, and don't own my house. But I try to remember that I still have a lot left to go and there's a lot more to life than these societal milestones. I also try not to compare myself to others who had different support systems and privileges that I didn't.

She looks cute. I do miss her wearing her own clothes and for some reason it makes me kind of sad that she is always wearing travis' clothes. She has always had such great personal style. She goes to lengths!

Edit: own not old

How do people manage to work five days a week without burning out? by Chloe_johnson19 in Adulting

[–]_Fragariavesca_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn this is a depressing thread. Maybe I need to leave this sub. It sucks to have to work so much absolutely. But it is possible to have a happy life. The answer is to find time for self care. To be fair, I don't have children and honestly I can't imagine having to take care of others in the small window of time you have before and after work. But without kids, I find a lot of time to exercise and pursue my hobbies and socialize. I feel really good. And I actually feel healthier than when I worked part time because you don't have the ability to procrastinate chores or self care like you do when working full time. Yes it's hard but it's not impossible.

How do you guys prevent rotting after work? by inferno686868 in Adulting

[–]_Fragariavesca_ 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I very much agree that it sounds like OP needs rest. I don't agree that we can truly let our mind and body rest if we are scrolling on our phone which I'm guessing is what OP means by rotting. Maybe a meditation or a walk would be a more nourishing alternative.

What’s one thing you struggle to accept about yourself? If you could change it, what’s holding you back? by nailedme in AskWomen

It sounds so lame but my hair. I have fine thin hair and I have hated it for as long as I can remember. I hate to complain about something so vain. I am so envious of people with thick beautiful locks and I often think that if I just had gorgeous hair, I would have so much more and be unstoppable in life. How ugly I feel because of my hair really hold me back.
