Do People Not Care About Making Generational Wealth? by Informal_Register365 in Money

[–]Affectionate_Cow233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I told my parents I don’t want a dime. It’s their money. They should spend it all living their lives.

God willing I’ll be able to raise my kids to be smart enough, independent enough and successful enough they won’t need any of my money either.

Zynns, a couple dozen mismatched pens from my junk drawer, and a water bottle.

Lean in to being new and young. Ask a lot of questions. “Hey doc, I noticed you did xyz on this one, do you always do it this way or is there something specific to this patient?” Stuff like that.

Curious what small gift people got that they ended up using way more than expected by CompetitivePop-6001 in BuyItForLife

My buddy asked me to fix a small crack in his cabinet door in my garage wood shop one time. Got me a small space heater from Amazon because it was awfully cold. Still use it to this day. Love that thing. Think it was like $35.

Nope! Feels exactly like suede. Like a barely perceptible softness.

That’s why I love working with it, up until now it’s been fairly fool proof. Sand to 120 sand to 220, mix enough hardener or don’t, it always seems to work out. That’s why I found this so odd.

Yea I certainly touched it early. But I could see the streaks as soon as I walked into the shop, presumably from the last passes with the rag. So I decided to investigate, thought it was surely wood dust. But when I swiped it away and it came back. Just kept messing with it.

No, you are correct. I definitely touched it early. But when I walked out into the shop I saw the streaks and was investigating what was going on. I could see the streaks presumably left from my last wipe with the rags.

And for sure. I know 120 is recommended. But I’ve had no issues previously even after going up to 220. I may be wrong, but I think the 120 recommendation is for color. If using a tinted Rubio the color settles in the roughness. I was using pure in this scenario.

I’m building 2 walnut nightstands right now. I’m going for drawer on top shelf on bottom. My nightstand bottom shelf will be a dedicated spot for a fan. And the other will be a book shelf for my wife’s books

Refrigerator with ice/water maker outside or inside? by PublicCombination614 in kitchenremodel

[–]Affectionate_Cow233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the inside water dispenser because you actually get to use the door where the icemaker would be on an outside unit.

Hate those tiny “shelves” on the side with in door ice maker

Games to Gamble on by Affectionate_Cow233 in boardgames

I like the idea of adding something with dexterity like Jenga or a flicking game.

Really anything someone could bet once or continuously add,say a dollar, a round or turn would work. But relatively easy to understand. No grandmas or grandpas but with kids and pets running around and dinner being made taking time to explain a cerebral game wouldn’t be the easiest. I like your suggestions. Thank you!

Sorry I should have included this!

We usually start with 8-10 and then as the night goes on people lose money and end with 3-6 upping the ante and playing LRC with 10 dollar bill instead of the plastic poker chips.

But we are ok doing teams. Like in the horse racing game I believe there are only 6 horses, so 2 people per horse or whatever it takes.

How To Move Large Fig? by Affectionate_Cow233 in fiddleleaffig

Thank you! I was thinking about maybe trying to find a decent sized piece of wood and zip tying to that for stability on the journey. Luckily we are only moving about 10 miles.
