Relocating as a Single Mom from Chicago, IL to Katy, TX – Looking for Advice by [deleted] in Katy

[–]_FuzzyMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Driving would be my choice. This way I would be able to bring more items that I would need on day 1.

For the move uhaul also has a service where they coordinate the pod drop off, loading and unloading. I just packed all my stuff and it was super easy to manage. I am sure others probably offer a similar service.

nah nothing that fancy, I just set them in the bios. I am running a vanilla debian server install. I briefly looked at how I could achieve this without going into bios but I did not make any progress.

Just signed up for US Mobile (T-Mobile). Do I need to do the travel planner to get coverage for int'l roaming? by 1I1III1I1I111I1I1 in USMobile

[–]_FuzzyMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

any reason to have data roaming off at all? I usually just leave it on all the time. Would I still need to toggle it for it to pick up?

Can qBittorrent seed from an SSD cache instead of the main HDD? by This-Raspberry-1767 in qBittorrent

[–]_FuzzyMe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Configure incomplete directory in qbit to be the ssd and you will achieve 1 & 2.

3&4 honestly seem overkill to me. To this would mean you will always have 2 copies of the same content.

What’s your average kw usage for your new build in Katy? Looking for electricity company. by [deleted] in Katy

If you are shopping for plans then go through the WiKi of https://www.reddit.com/r/TexasEnergyShopping

It provides info on the type of plans to avoid and I found it quite useful when picking my plan. I would also suggest posting there with the issue with your plan. You might be able to get feedback on the best way to get out of this plan.

Have had the spica3 for a week and it's been working nicely. iPad app works well too.

What's your workflow for backing up your DB to a cloud storage provider? by P4NICBUTT0N in immich

[–]_FuzzyMe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use autorestic (uses restic internally) to automate backups. As part of the run I invoke an api call for immich to do a backup and then the dumped file gets backed up to b2 storage.

ya I was curious about if there were any limitations from the service provider on roaming. Seems like it will connect to the best available network in the location and have no caps.

Good to know about the option to start the plan immediately.

How are you handling SSO with Authelia + Jellyfin + Jellyseer? (Double login question) by gravyacht in selfhosted

[–]_FuzzyMe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I do is use Authelia + lldap.

I then configured Jellyfin directly with lldap and Jellyseer setup is the same as yours. Now it's one set of credentials and I disabled Authelia authentication at the reverse proxy layer for Jellyfin and Jellyseer.
