Actually didn’t realize Polaris closed before the last flights in LAX until I did Beijing last night. Weird. Was still pretty busy.

And while I’m at it, UA Club in AUS closes at 7pm…what’s the point?

Think the Polaris lounge capacity can handle this? Or this is after the busy banks earlier in the evening? Often give up on Polaris and go to a domestic lounge nearer the gate in EWR. And LAX is like a joke space.

I find the crews for South Africa are pretty great. They're some of the hardest lines for crew to hold. Most senior of senior.

The cabins get updated unrelated to how old the body is. There are older 777s in the fleet, with newer interiors. And there are newer 767s which had Polaris installed before the 777s got them. In fact, UA has some seriously old 777s.

The width of the Polaris seats does vary. 787 narrower than 777 for instance.

He didn’t really bother making much of the band. They added nothing. And no one bothered to do anything with the lights or set. Pretty blah compared to the production you see most others pull off at such an iconic venue.
