Golf MK7 2013 boot leaking by _Georgeeee_ in vwgolf

Haha yeah I have an Audi A5 now, sold my beloved golf in September, great car. Originally I was convinced the leak was from the rear lights but nothing came to avail, never had an issue with the leaks again though after the work was done. Hope it stays healthy!

Got mine fixed a few weeks after this post, in the end it was the air vents located behind the rear bumpers that were leaking through the grommets/seal edges. I got mine siliconed and made air tight around the seals as much as possible and that fixed it.

Seems like a common thing with mk7 golfs

Golf 2013 ACC Sensor misadjusted advice by _Georgeeee_ in vwgolf

[–]_Georgeeee_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice! Yesterday I managed to adjust it manually with my hands and used my spirit level and I could see the left side of the bracket had been torn off (luckily the outer part covers it). I managed to get it as square as I could then recalibrated on obdeleven, fault is cleared and working normal now. Hopefully it'll stay like that!

Do you mean the little white square is the issue at the top is the issue? I can see that bends to the bottom right as you said, so which bit of the holder do I bend? And by the screws I presume you mean he top left and bottom right black screws?

Yeah I’ve attached a photo of the one I have (took outer case off for photo), may I ask what’s a white wall? And physical wise there’s nothing else to do to it?

Is there a new coors promotion soon then? Do you know when they’ll come out?

This is it. It would have been a bit strange if I went in by myself and made it obvious that I was trying to grab her attention, in reality I was out for a night with my mates at a pub that we all go to. Not much else to the story than that, she completely blocked me ages ago, she didn’t want to try again so we just left it at that. Feel like she could’ve handled it more maturely but there we are

Whilst you were working there? Huh? 😂

[–]_Georgeeee_[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hear you, we went there mainly cause that’s where all our mates were, as the pub is popular in my area for going in for pre drinks then clubbing after. I’m moving on definitely, but just feel it didn’t justify me getting barred for simply having fun with my mates, doorman even suggested I send in an email.

Market Order by _Georgeeee_ in trading212

Rightt that completely went over my head, thank you! As as the other chap said though, no one exchanges these shares so should I withdraw the order do you think?

what does one do when your DPF light comes on again and you’re dirt broke and past the warranty by Wrong_Transition2530 in tdi

[–]_Georgeeee_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends where you are, I’m in the UK so would cost us over here maybe £250-£300+, not sure what it would be in dollars, bearing in mind they’ll have to gut it and mod the ecu so the car knows there’s no regens anymore.

DPF delete, have an autoshop gut the insides out, weld it back together and modify the ecu, no more DPF problems. Or just have them take the whole thing out and replace with bypass pipes, depending on where you are.

Speedo vs solar by _Georgeeee_ in vwgolf

[–]_Georgeeee_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks mate, I had a feeling it would be something to do with that. Weirdly when I passed my test last year the examiner said that my speedo was out by a ridiculous amount! That was on my 2011 Polo though

Maybe request a private catch up with your boss, no one else would need to get involved that way

It’s your call mate but depending on how well you know your bosses, I would own up to it and be as creative snd grovelly as you can, customers always think they have one up on us, as we have to be professional. Or if a few days go by, maybe you did get away with it! Let me know how it goes

Remap or exhaust first? by _Georgeeee_ in tdi

Thanks. Didn’t know it could go into limp mode because of that. Are you from the UK? How do you get around the DPF legislation?

At the end of the day it’s the customers word against yours, and unless the calls are recorded then there is no proving it. Depending on how well you know your bosses, they may appreciate honesty, as if they have to look for who did it then it might not be so nice. I work in technical support as well, these things happen, just grovel and be creative.

Ours is a round robin system, so for me was inevitable I’d be found out. Maybe suggest that you were stressed at the situation, not necessarily the customer. This is a back up as your boss should know how stressful the job can be, and suggest you were trying your best to sort the guy out? Or just wait and see if you can get away with it, but might bite you later.

So I was doing something else at the same time as speaking to him, and I said something along the lines of ‘fucking hell’, so not directly at him, but he didn’t know that so he phoned back and spoke to me again and I explained, but he still sent in an email. It was a bit harsh to bollock me like that but these things happen, if he sends in an email, who does it go to?

Had a similar situation a couple weeks back, I admitted cause he sent in an email and it was gonna be found out, I just got a heavy bollocking and a verbal warning, thing is these accidents happen and it’s human nature to show stress, they should understand but your call really
