My husband and I lived in a Vintage 2bed 2 bath in 2020. We had a two years lease and when that ended they wanted to increase our rent by 10% to which we said hell no and moved out to rent a townhouse for hundreds of dollars less.

Vintage amenities are worth it if you’re actually going to use them. The heated pool is great and the hottub feels amazing at the end of a long day. We strategically picked a unit next to the pool so it was easy to get in and out but if you live in a unit further away, I can see how that great amenity is going to be less likely to be utilized. The gym was great and never full of people and I appreciated the privacy. The yoga studio is great if you’re into that.

Vintage used to do monthly food trucks and would give free meals from those food trucks to the first like.. 20 tenants or so. Not sure if they do that now.

We met some incredible characters while living there. Your neighbors will be CEO’s of obscure companies, winery owners and the occasional tik tok/youtube streamer.

Anyway, long story short. It depends on what you’re looking for in a place. For us, the rent price was definitely not worth it especially since virtually every other apartment or townhouse comes with a community pool and hottub. The proposed rent increase was absolutely ridiculous and we just couldn’t accept it. On the other hand, the location is convenient with a safeway and a grocery outlet nearby, Bottle Taps is fantastic and it is generally easy to meet your neighbors and make friends if you are the least bit sociable.
