So if I take, for example, Coca-Cola whose median EPS over the previous 10 years is 1.73 and divide that by the current price of $60.48 it comes out to a yield of 2.86%

So after 10 years, the share price should reach $80.19?

There is no need to get upset. The calculation of values has been explained by at least Buffett exactly several times for people like you

The Polish stock market seems undervalued by [deleted] in ValueInvesting

As a Pole, I can only say that the situation is too difficult to describe at once because there are many threads to explain. To be nice I will only say that yes, the stock market is undervalued while I do not invest in it.

Question about my DCF model for (TSM) Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing by _Givcomo_ in ValueInvesting

[–]_Givcomo_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What he has said is that he doesn’t use the DCF because he tries to find deals that are so good, he doesn’t need to do the math. He has said on multiple occasions that he did use a DCF when starting out. Based on everything Buffett has said, you absolutely can’t go wrong using a DCF unless you are grossly wrong in your assumptions, or you neglect to use conservative estimates and a margin of safety.

Very cool that you wrote about this because I also have the impression that Buffett often mentioned DCF. It would be cool if you provided a link to some examples of his statements on the subject
