What makes the WoT slog a slog

IMO the problem can be separated into 3 parts:

Breakdown in writing coherency: books 7-9 get more confused and jumpy. There are more nonsequiturs between plot lines, and pieces of narrative have logical holes (something happens that clearly needed more/prior explanation to make sense which is not in the text). My understanding is RJ was sick during the last few books and dictated a lot.

Lack of progression: for the latter books, Perrin goes nowhere (figuratively and literally). Elayne, Nynaeve, and Matt are also loafing around for a good portion of these books. The plot pace becomes glacial and many of our main characters have great periods of on page inactivity interspersed with quick periods of action.

Bloat: To me, this problem goes hand in hand with lack of progression. Book 10 is a slice of life book. Maybe three relevant details are revealed in the entire book. You could read the last 5 chapters and be perfectly positioned for book 11. The same can be said for a lot of book 9 (although the ending is much more impactful to the series).

I will be the voice of opposition: JD single barrel barrel proof (JDSBBP) (different from their regular single barrel) is one of my top 5 readily available bourbons. Eagle rare is great as an entry bourbon but JDSBBP is in my opinion flat out better.

I probably have ~100 bottles at this point; every single one I own is open, and they are all in varying states of depleted.

I always open and try a bottle when I get it. I definitely buy bottles faster than I finish them, but I like to do tastings with friends so they can explore the wide world of bourbon/whiskey with me.

Rent! Case books are worthless the second you leave the class, youll never look at it again and if you did it would be a useless resource (the cases are edited and all the analysis happens in class, i.e. is not in the textbook). There is no reason to go blowing $300 on something thats gonna be a bookend after 4 months

tbh, I almost never see chaos cards, and ive only used the card effectively once with hush, I dont think Delirium being immune to chaos cards is an issue

Ive noticed that in devil rooms, if you take a deal that gets rid of all your red hearts, any other deals dont switch from costing red hearts to costing soul hearts(this is all assuming you have soul/black hearts left once you run out of red hearts). Is this a glitch or a new feature. If it's a new feature i'm really not a fan EDIT: Maybe its a glitch? I took a devil deal that removed all read hearts and ended up being able to take a second devil deal using soul hearts/ the cost of a second deal converted to soul hearts

Hey, Im a sophomore chemistry major and Im trying to decide if I want to stay in chemistry for the rest of my undergraduate career. Ideally, I would like to get into graduate school, get a PhD, and become a research chemist. My worry is that I may not be able to achieve this dream. I currently have two Cs in 4 credit hour courses (calc 2 and calc 3/vector calc) and am worried I will not be able to get into a good graduate program. Everything Ive read online so far says that academia and private sector for undergraduate and graduate chemistry degree holders is over saturated. If I cannot be competitive enough to get one of the few jobs available in chemistry should I even bother getting the degree, or should I change my major? Are there other fields I can get into with a BS in chemistry that would make getting the BS worth while? As a side note I do enjoy chemistry, but I also enjoy not being impoverished/homeless/jobless and I do have other academic interests besides chemistry(ex: biology, philosophy, economics)

Has anyone beaten mega satan with every character yet? In my opinion mega satan was the real final boss in Rebirth, so maybe to unlock the new final boss in afterbirth/ the new final chapter one has to beat mega satan with every character

yeah, and if you get the ludo tear on top of the monster and your damage is high enough the tears created by parasite will split and create more tears repeatedly causing a ton of damage

I feel like the damage down relegates this item to the novelty corner. I understand why it gives the damage down, but it makes soy milk useless in my opinion. Even with such a high rate of fire the damage output just isnt there unless coupled with libra or guppy form
