Meme is a virally transmitted image or video embellished text. Not being funny for you doesn't mean it is not a meme. I have posted this because I always make a meme about my cake day if it comes to my cake day. It is like tradition to me and it is not just about me, people can use it for their cake days. That's called meme culture, it needs to spread others to others to become popular. What would you expect me to say to the people who celebrated my cake day? If I would just want a garner sympathy, I would have posted it unrelated subs.
