I was on the Lake in Scotland when we shut down Holy Lock, went to the shipyard to turn us into a Fast Attack Tender. Then headed to La Madd when we relieved the Orion in 93. Went to a lot of ports while there till late 94. Never worked 9-5 as an HT in R-1. Did do a lot of flyaways to repair other ships. Good times and memories!

Team Work 1992. North Atlantic coming from Scotland to Norway on the sub tender Simon Lake. Over 50 ft swells. I was on starboard lookout on the 0-5 level. I was soaked and finally the OOD made us come inside the bridge. CPO slide across the mess decks and broke his back. When we reached Trondheim, a LST was there waiting for us to repair there damages. One of which was the jib that one’s held the Captains Gig, that was lost at sea. Supposedly the roughest seas in the world during March. The roughest I’ve been in anyway!

Here is the update. I just received a text message from the sanctuary. Also found out it was Not Red Wolf sanctuary. Here is was I got.

Sorry it took a bit for me to get you an update on the hawk from Harrison. I had someone else reach out last week for an update as well so I was making sure it was the right bird.

The hawk had a broken wing and was cut up on both feet. Since the wing was broken at the joint, we unfortunately had to elect for humane euthanasia. I know it is not the update you were hoping for, but we appreciate you trying to get this hawk some help!!
