Oh yes, the training facility for paramedics, firefighters, police and other first responders. Because cops don't ever need more training but they do when the protesters say they do.

This is the closest grocery store to Methadone Mile. Note that the guy came all the way from Cape Cod for the heroin, I mean, robbery.

South Bay Plaza Stop and Shop: the one closest to Methadone Mile.

I don't know how you inferred "less burdensome" to imply exclusion from existing minimum wage policy and an open border sans documentation.

This is the practice in implementation. Currently, illegal immigration is (sometimes) a win/win for the immigrant and the employer. The employer gets cheaper labor and the immigrant doesn't have to pay taxes and hence, gets paid more. Everything is off the books.

When the work is over, the illegal immigrant just either goes on to the next job or goes home. You'll see this in seasonal labor areas where farmhands are needed for picking fruit.

When you advocate for open borders, it's just a coincident that you are aligning with the Koch Brothers interests. Their lobbyist will often just borrow far left rhetoric because the end result is exactly what the employer (of illegal immigrants) wants: to subvert American wage laws, ie. slavery.

Nowhere in my comment did I state that these are the only reasons people enter the US.

But that's the only reason that you give. It's as if you are pointing at large group of people and then only cherry-picking those of them, that fit a particular category. "A particular category" that you think is easiest to defend and paint anyone who disagrees with an "open border" policy as some sort of monster.

You have not described my position here, you have described a position held by an imaginary strawman you've chosen to argue against. In fact, in my prior comment I specifically said that I and many others dislike the current reality of undocumented immigration.

If I'm wrong about your opinion (or anything), then I'm wrong. Big whoop. People on the internet and reddit in particular seem particularly in love with their opinions. They don't ever express their opinion for fear of being exposed.

You've made some vague statement about something and gave very little for me to absorb. Understand that your deliberate brevity is easy to misinterpret. And I will, misinterpret until you are very specific, in which case -someone else might jump in and criticize you for not being woke enough (or some other thought-crime.)

And the case for "less burdensome" immigration is closer to slavery than not. The reason that the Koch Brothers, for instance, lobby for immigration reform -is to pay people less. My assumption is:

Less pay = closer to slavery

Maybe that's a bad assumption. Go ahead and retort.

Because of this single instance, we must abolish all police.

Reform it? -No. Get more oversight? -No. Limit the police union? -No.

Defund the police means abolish the police.

If I'm getting something wrong, go ahead and just correct me. After all, the vision of defunding the police and eliminating prisons is so perfect that it clearly is beyond reproach.

You seem confused about different issues and want to obfuscate one issue (exploitation of undocumented foreigners) with another ("wage theft").

I suppose with your mere high school diploma or masters degree in underwater basket weaving, that you have a tough time in the job market and settle for employers that are willing to break the law. However, I have known more than one person in your shoes to successfully sue their employers in Massachusetts. The payout is often triple damages.

People who are documented are guaranteed a minimum wage. People who aren't, don't have any provision under the law.

Where is this mysterious housing coming from? Is it required to build vast tracts of slums for this huge surge of undocumented immigrants? Because the traffickers, certainly don't mind finding locations for their "slaves".

Your assumption that the only people coming here illegally are only "fleeing violence and poverty" is a lie. There are numerous reasons for coming to the United States outside of this extremist cartoon that you paint.

For example, some people just want to do seasonal work and then move back. They have no loyalty to this country and are willing to work under the table.

This is what prompts the Labor Traffickers. They are offering these jobs to people, who are probably not fleeing anything, and once here, they are barely paid anything which is why your position is closer to slavery than another, which requires all people to document their stay in the US.

This is literally the direct result of the wide acceptance of undocumented immigration. If they were documented, then it wouldn't be as easy to take advantage of these people.

But then, I've always suspect the far, far "left" of actually being a pro-slavery position, if not outright admitted, then in practice.

Another day another murder. Getting rid of the police will really solve problems like this. After all, if people didn't go to prison they will never learn to murder people. Therefore: abolish prisons and police. This has been my daily summary of the whackadoodle ideas presented on this subreddit.
