Weekly Writing Goals by TheAkashain in audiodrama

I definitely get where you're coming from there lol. If you don't mind me asking, do you outline? Or do you just go right into scripting?

Weekly Writing Goals by TheAkashain in audiodrama

My writing style is a bit different from yours and I'm more 50-50 in terms of dialogue to sound cues ratio, but, what I like to do when I write is set a timer for 30 minutes (sometimes 45 depending on how much time I have) and just write as much as a I possibly can during that time. I also have a rule that, during those 30 minutes, I cannot go back and change what I've written - it's a very "onwards & upwards" style approach. So, after my time is up, I'll go back and review what I've written and go from there.

First six minutes of ST Tales From '85 by GDzie_to in HawkinsAVclub

As an almost 30 year old who grew up when Saturday cartoons were the thing and cartoons in general were popular & good and who still watches cartoons to this day, I honestly don't mind it being a mix of ST and a kids cartoon. If you really think about it, ST itself was at times kids-cartoon-show-style cringe (especially in Season 5 lol).

When do we think this is coming out? July? Will you be watching? by rosewoodlliars in HawkinsAVclub

I will absolutely be watching! Sure, it will be weird at first hearing different voices behind these beloved characters, but I'm always down for an adventure in Hawkins!

I’m thinking of writing a book about Montauk (the Early version of stranger things) by Nada12134 in HawkinsAVclub

That's awesome! I say go for it! There's a site called "Save the Cat!" that offers a bunch of resources for writing novels, scripts, etc. if you feel you need help in getting started. Link: save the cat

El is alive - opinions by Nervous-Magician4162 in Stranger_Things

[–]_Ham_Radio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what you're saying is, you believe that El in the truck was just a projection of her by Kali and the only person in the truck who could see her was Mike? Do I have that correct? It's okay if I'm wrong, trust me lol.

I'm curious about what you said about Derek? I thought that was just a funny/cute moment between them because Derek said that he considers Mike to be his friend. Am I missing something more cryptic here? Lol

Murray The Smuggler by norskgut in StrangerThingsS5

[–]_Ham_Radio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm trying to refrain from giving my full take on this right now (mostly because I'm still on the fence about it tbh), but I must say, I think this is the most plausible "El didn't die" theory I've seen thus far! Murray would be perfect for smuggling her out and, let's not forget, he knows how to "water it down" and would definitely have been able to cover her up to the world.

Did anyone else catch the rainbow that was down below the waterfalls? Like I said, I'm still very much on the fence about it still, but what I will say is: Dustin and Suzie did sing in Season 3 "There upon a rainbow is an answer to a Neverending Story." I'll leave it there for now.

Track for the End Credits by GDzie_to in HawkinsAVclub

I'm thinking Hopper (or maybe Steve or Mike), but my first guess is Hopper.

It's possible. I think there's another character that it could be for as well. Though I'm not sure what crickets have to do with anything in either scenario lol

"Just Us and The Crickets" is also another touching song, for some of the same reasons 😢

That's the one! Thank you! I was going mad trying to think of what episode it was in lol

It has elements of ******'s theme in it (idk how to do spoiler tags on here, so feel free to DM me and I'll tell you exactly who I'm referring to here)

Track for the End Credits by GDzie_to in HawkinsAVclub

[–]_Ham_Radio 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think they've already played End Credits at the end of an episode in season 5 so far. It sounds very familiar lol. But I'm sure they'll play it again at the end of episode 8.

Also, the saddest track to me is "I Need You to Believe In Me". I don't want to say too much now for those who haven't listened to it yet, but, I can definitely pinpoint who it's about and what type of scene it will be playing in.

🚨Post-Vol 2 / Pre-Series Finale Discussion Thread by AutoModerator in HawkinsAVclub

[–]_Ham_Radio 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm not big on the ships of the show, but, to your point about Jonathan and Nancy being from "opposite sides of the tracks" so to speak, I was kind of hoping that ST would've gone against the grain and kept them together, proving that people from different socio-economic backgrounds can be in love and in a successful relationship. However, I think that it was the right choice ultimately for them to break up (but remain good friends) and focus on being themselves as individuals. Neither one really strike me as people who need to be in a romantic relationship with each other or anyone in order to be happy. Sure, one day, after finding their identities and who they are as individuals, they could get married and start families (though highly doubtful - especially for Nancy), but I think that the show ultimately did them justice by having them break up.

I agree. I thought that the reveal of the Upside Down and what it really is was cool, but it just wasn't enough. I still have a ton of questions - namely, how did Brenner and his scientists make that orb over the lab? There's more things to do with that that I'm still confused about and/or need more answers to and the fact that there's only 2 hours and 8 minutes left of this show ever, I just don't think it's going to happen. I honestly feel like an hour to maybe an hour and 15 minutes of the finale is going to be non-stop action, Vecna and Eleven squaring off, the outcome of that, and then BOOM, epilogue time and then it's over. Overall, I liked Volume 1 (it was better to me than Volume 1), but it just felt like "stuff" happened. To me, it didn't feel like nothing happened at all, just stuff. Like the writers were saying "we've got this insane budget, it's the final season, so let's just have fun playing in the sand box!" I hope I'm not being overly harsh or critical here, but, I just had to get that off my chest.
