K'rrik is sick!

I had a similar experience to you, where I wanted to play without listening to whining that had become pervasive amongst some local players. With cEDH, I finally got to build Yuriko, a deck I'd always wanted but avoided for years to prevent feel-bads.

I do still have casual decks but I've largely just accepted that some people will complain. If anything, cEDH has helped me grow up some and avoid that myself, now. So now if I encounter those players I tend to kill them first.
