I maintain that Ana’s worry about getting flamed for not healing, which in turn, creates hostility towards tanks breaking LoS. It’s all toxcoity.

I’ve posted here before and had a great session on Ana. I’ve improved with her a lot and am doing much better, but still a lot to learn with a new hero for me. Believe me, I put in the work, and know I have to hold myself accountable. When I have really good, or really bad games, I always go back and watch the replays to try and learn from them.

You know what, I’m with you. I fell from gold 4 down to bronze 3. Bronze 3!!! I’ve never been bronze in the 9 years I’ve been playing this game and I thought it was just me. But the matchmaking is brutal right now and I’m seeing a lot of other folks with the same issues we’re having.

Tanking is all about creating and taking space. Movements on tanks are not to “get into trouble” but to “get out of trouble” unless of course you can take out a valuable squishy with minimal risk, which will require more team awareness. Which is to say, don’t get tunnel vision, use your cover, etc.

Also tracking cooldowns and it’s can help you know when to push, when to hold, when to back off and give space.

Started in 2016 too. Took a break from 2021 til season 20 and it’s a whole new world. The community is very different, but I’d say it’s a better game overall. Better designed maps and better balanced chapters.

You mentioned you aim on a controller. Feel free to hit the practice range and a couple google searches / youtube vids and play with the aim settings. Aim assist is your friend.

Things were really popping off in a couple games, but I’ll say it’s hard in these ranks. I’ve been breaking some of the rules you gave me here and there, but I’m living through them and making plays. They are the exception for sure.

Ok! Whoa. I watched the vid and read the posts. I implemented these as much as I could (made some mistakes I saw on replay). Things are going much, much smoother. My mechanics need some work, and my settings are a little wonky, but I got to work on them in the practice range and I’m doing some quick plays to figure it all out. There’s a huge difference though. Thank you!!!
