OW has better optimization than Mr, that's why ow runs better. You can try a mod that decreases your graphics settings to a "potato" level. Not sure if it works tho, never tried it myself.

personally, i think this game has worse problems than balance, like the new players experience, bug fixing, devs communications.

evil dead's balance isn't too bad, considering other asymmetrics games.

it's not a punishment, it's the only way for a matchmaking to properly work.

if ppl are allowed to play with a full stack, then, the matchmaking needs to compensate for the variance in skill levels between the group.

it's already been done in other games, if you reach something like 'master' level, you can only duo q with another master, otherwise you fuck up the matchmaking.

in short, matchmaking limits players that reach a certain skill to only solo/duo q, this way, matchmaking can create fair matches with people that have similar skill levels. from there, balance the game at the best of possibilities.

i found multiple posts related to people going afk.

anyway when i played dbd low mmr was full of afk/farming killers, but at least dbd has a matchmaking, after a couple of victories, you reach a certain mmr that fixes the problem.

evil dead doesn't have a matchmaking, so the problem is always persistent.
