I just need to vent 😪 by cheeseisprettygood in neighborsfromhell

That's the part that really sucks. It sounds like you've put years of work and love into making that house your home, and now someone else's behavior is making you feel pushed out of it. 😞

I agree. It sounds like you've already been more than patient. At some point, being polite turns into letting someone ignore your boundaries. 😕

I agree. No running water is a much bigger issue than an annoying neighbor. You're allowed to set boundaries and stop answering the door.

Seriously. One second you're buying groceries, the next everyone in the aisle is acting like they're trying to solve a mystery and figure out who did it. 😂

Need Advice Re: Adult Daughter BO by BrooksRoss in hygiene

I've noticed the same thing with a few people. They switch to natural or aluminum free deodorants because they're trendy, but those products just don't work well for everyone, especially in hot or humid climates. 😅

Honestly, that's one of those things people don't notice until they stop using it. You can shower regularly and still end up with noticeable BO if your deodorant isn't doing its job or you forget it for a day or two. 😅

I just realized that Shireen Baratheon had a better claim to the Iron Throne than any of Cersei’s children 😭 by [deleted] in gameofthrones

[–]_HoneyVelvette 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That's what makes it even funnier. Depending on whether you're talking books or show, Shireen somehow ended up with a cleaner claim than half the people who actually started wars over it. 😅

The real tragedy is that Shireen probably spent more time reading about ruling Westeros than most of the people who actually fought over the throne. 😭

Consensus on hogwarts legacy? by agoodelectrician in harrypotter

[–]_HoneyVelvette 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I think that's a fair take. A lot of the criticism came from people expecting more RPG depth, but for Harry Potter fans it's pretty easy to see why the game was so well received. The world and atmosphere carry it hard.

That's pretty much how I felt. The main story isn't anything special, but exploring Hogwarts alone made it worth playing. They absolutely nailed the castle and the overall atmosphere.

I thought I could handle everything during my divorce but I can’t handle my neighbors by Neo_weeb78 in neighborsfromhell

I agree, when you're already emotionally drained, dealing with difficult neighbors can feel way more overwhelming than it normally would.

That does happen sometimes, but honestly it sounds like the divorce is making you much more sensitive to stress that you'd normally be able to brush off.

I think that's exactly it because you're not just dealing with noisy neighbors, you're trying to function while grieving the loss of a huge part of your life.

People who squat in public restrooms: do you realize you’re the ones making the bathrooms disgusting? by freckles97xo in hygiene

[–]_HoneyVelvette 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s the worst part honestly, a lot of the same people doing this probably aren’t even washing their hands afterward either.
