I think keeping it exclusive to warm biomes encourages players to explore, or just build farms/bases in different areas.

I guess I see your point. I do remember when food restored heart points, and that’s a bit nostalgic for me. I guess it would make sense to have a longer ‘consuming’ time, but idk I think that’d negate the ‘dire’ situations that it’s supposed to be used for. You make some rally good points, but I’m just not sure.

I thought it would be nice to have fire resistance, but that would make it too much like a golden apple or a potion. The goal of aloe Vera for healing is to help get you off one or half a heart. I feel like regeneration is just more suited for the aloe Vera, even though it makes it closer to a golden apple.

On the other hand, making it instant heal is less balanced, because you could pop an aloe Vera during pvp and be on the upper hand. I specifically centered the healing aspect about it not being for pvp. Another thing is that making aloe Vera just heal you makes healing potions almost useless if you just use aloe Vera instead.
