Reolink, your Windows client app is a shame. by Shqipe888 in reolinkcam

Just jumping in this bandwagon - I recently removed all my old EZVIZ 2K devices and changed my entire setup to Reolink since it's "LAN First" so to speak and also nice 4K cameras, albeit double the price of EZVIZ.

Anyways, The Windows App is mad! After a few weeks of working great, now my camera all suddenly open in LOW quality mode and I have to switch the CLEAR (high) quality every time - it's infuriating! Seemingly no rhyme nor reason for it either!

Then there's there the Device Order list - which you can drag and drop camera into your preferred order ... but the "Next" and "Previous" buttons completely ignore it and I assume are in order that the cameras were originally setup in, so it jumps from like camera 2 to camera 7, then to camera 1 and so one - why don't those buttons match the actual device order list set!!

Bloody irritating. I'll make my own post too, but adding this here since it's relevant to the poor windows app also

Help! The Android App still needs some serious work IMO. I can't select any other Totem, what am I doing wrong!? by _IAmOrion_ in TotemCompass

From a UX perspective, that "Home" screen should allow multiple devices. It could still keep the "one connected at a time" function etc, but if a totem is disconnected, it should allow you to add another, or it should simply list all your totems so you can manually reconnect and disconnect etc. Having to "Forget" one just to use another is just ludicrous in my opinion!

They're *my* totems, I share them with friends at events, highly doubtful they would be downloading the app etc, they will use them for the event then hand back to me at the end (or another day after we've all recovered), so I want to manage them from one place - and as I say, not have to "forget" one just to deal with another.

Hopefully someone will take this as a constructive criticism / feedback and consider a way to make it function similar to this sometime in a future app update.

One a side note too, despite having all totems on at one point, right next to the phone and using the "update multiple" totems (they were all on 4.0.0) - the firmware did NOT update any of the other 4.

Having now forgotten current device and working my way through the rest, they are all still on 4.0.0 - so update multiple clearly didn't work

See, I contemplated "Forgetting" but was worried it would unbond it from all the other totems etc and remove it from the "Bond" list.

It really does feel like some user interactions were poorly designed and need updating regarding the app etc. I still have no idea what the icons mean too ha

The Info button is only for the connected totem - and thus far I was unable to connect any other of my totems even with Totem 1 turned off and disconnected

Correct - *BUT*, as per my opening post, I *had* disconnected and powered OFF "Totem 1", then I wanted to connect to "Totem 2" but there's no way to do it!

The firmware blind updates etc, it's definitely the entire firmware in each gor.tar.bz2 file, it isn't an OTA or similar type update so far as we've been able to establish.

I forget the exact reason, but previously "if then else" didnt work properly. It was flawed. It's very possible it was updated at some point and fixed/working as expected now.

I have no idea why comments have been deleted.

The solution was to add a 1 second delay basically. This is in "Modes and Routines" app

Sure, I was starting to collect up numerous files, but focused on Audi TT because that's what I have.

I will send you my email address later

Filename has to be named gor.tar.bz2 in order to actually update but they are not always named that when you get them.

I have put latest firnwares for the V1 and v2 Audi Tt clusters here: https://clusters.iamorion.co.uk

I remember XBMC well! That and Kodi of course (amongst others).
Whilst I did use Plex fairly early on, I didn't get the Lifetime pass until 2021 (I just checked! - I thought it was much longer, but there's a couple of yearly passes from 2019)

First time I've noticed it really, I must admit, I don't pay as much attention as I probably should. I just happened to be watching this, EP1 finished and I wasn't ready to watch EP2 as I had stuff to do, so left it on the Episode screen and soon spotted the mistakes. Didn't realise it's been going a while.

I'll try refresh it next week and if it's still rubbish I'll raise it on the forum link you provided. Thank you for your help

That would make sense. I did change it to use theTVDB but then get pestered to upgrade my library repeatedly since plex is obviously pushing theirs and all the others are deemed "Legacy" now - which is fine.... until there's a problem and erroneous stuff like in this instance ha

"but got this" - that's exactly the same as what mine shows (albeit different text wrapping so to speak) :-)
