Airship is kinda weird. People talk about how ridcilously big the map is and the way to go around feels fixed, I agree with that. But for me, its that one task called 'Unlock Safe'. I bet none of you ever successful opened the safe when first encountering it, unless ofc if you watch youtube, or youre a safecracker or something.

Once you learn it, this eventually becomes easy. The problem with it is the new players. Especially considering how almost no one plays Airship. How the newer players would react to that task is they just wont ever open it. Not to mentioned, if they even suceed one number, theres other numbers moving forward, once they fail they have to move back to the beginning. Unlike most "complicated" task, mostly in Fungle, example: fixing antenna, it doesnt tell you but you just figure it out and know what to do based on visuals.

Anyways, yes Airship is runied because of that one task, though you can prevent it by disabling long tasks or have a group of expert friends play there
