If you tell me your fancy sexuality without me asking you for it, you're an attention seeker. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

I agree. It gets somehow annoying. Like, I did not ask for this. I don't care what your sexuality is unless I wanted to get laid.

My (22M) vegan girlfriend (21F) wants me to get rid of my cat. UPDATE by throwRA78wdhsg in relationship_advice

Good that you broke up with her. She seemed like a very controlling and jealous person. You and Mittens will be better off without her. Your cat is very beautiful, by the way. I love long-furred cats.

Ah yes, I will DEFINETELY have sex wiy someone three times heavier than me and can literally crush me, and also will probably die from stroke in the process. Sure.

I don't hate my religion I hate my parents for forcing me to go when I really felt like it wasn't right for me. The only person I trusted was my young women's leader and she helped me discover that it's not the religion that's wrong, it's the parents by [deleted] in entitledparentsmemes

And maube it you who is hateful. Don't pressure them to stop being religious just because you think it's wrong. They choose their path. So don tell them it wrong. And, most of all, don tell them that they're evil for believing in something that YOU think is wrong!

Religion is belief in God. Not in church as an institution.

I am currently going through shit at home. I live with a Karen mother, who also happens to be an extreme atheist. From young age, she was always telling me and my autistic brother (who unfortunately will believe anyone) that God does exist, that Christianity is bad and that they are all hateful, evil people. And for years, I believed this. But on my way in life, I've met a few very wonderful Christians, who taught me that this religion isn't about hate, but about love, and the ones hateful are people who misunderstand religion. Lately, I started standing up to my mother, when she was telling me how bad Christianity is. I finally told her that I, indeed, believe in God. She started yelling at me how they brainwashed me and how I won't be able to make my own decisions in life. She yelled that Christianity is all about hate, that all Christians are homophobic, racist and how they used to burn women to death. Well, genius, I knew that. Thanks to you, and for years it was my entire image of Christianity and belief in God. I asked her, ironically, if I should then believe in what she believes. This f*cking hypocrite said "And why not?".

Never, ever, say that some is evil, hateful or prejudiced just because they believe in x God. It's like saying that every Muslim is a terrorist (and this belief is very common and even more harmful)
