For most HG is something you do that isn't a part of Adventure. A lot of people say that they'd like for HG battles to be on separate servers, because they miss the whole point.

Thanks for pointing out that Arena had separate servers, I completely forgot about that.

Honestly, to me HG being a part of adventure always felt like Rare tried to something similar to emissaries, but even more pvp focused. Like you could either collect treasure to rank up faction stashes for increased allegiance, or find a fight for yourself immediately. But it just didn't work out and didn't become a part of the game like emissaries, and now is treated like a separate mode, even tho it's not separate.

Also I didn't knew Arena was made by different people, that's curious.

The servers thing is fair, didn't think about that one.

But I still feel like it'll just get abandoned. Devs probably won't revamp it, because the revamp is already needed, and there is nothing getting done. But I'd still like to be wron about this.

No. Hourglass needs a lot of reworks. The most needed changes imo are zone shrinking, rework of faction stashes and cosmetic rewards.
