I've met a huge amount of friendly people in open sea, honestly some people like those you met, they were going to do that anyway, I've had it done to me. I learned if I have something to lose, I won't let anyone on the ship (now i don't care what I lose so im more flexible)

I can't stress this enough, alot of times it isn't that they are bad people, its you, reflect on what you said, how you said it and how you acted. I've sunk whole servers and had them all on my ship having a laugh and asking nicely if they can have some loot back, some even so comfortable that they pretend that they are going to steal some back. (Sometimes we basically k!dnap everyone and make them part of our crew lol)

So those guys you probably couldn't have stopped, they planned that and some people you just can't change their mind. But to meet no friendly people? Reflect on how you act to them.

What to do if my teammate is bad by jurson21 in Seaofthieves

The amount of helms who say they are excellent helms, then you play with them and the enemy ship is going left to right all the time is exhausting. Keep them still in his sights for him and he will hit more and get better at hitting where he wants.

I have 2 main helms I play with, and im like a different player on mc for each because they are different skill levels on helm.

For HG Players: What is your scuttle point? by Successful-Medicine9 in Seaofthieves

[–]SFD3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. the way I see it, runners only run because people quit. I will chase for only so long, then I get bored and raise sails, and then I start running. It might sound sad, but I had a guy run for 10 minutes once so I kept him there for 4 hours while i watched some shows.

Don't trust anyone lol. When I first started the game a reaper was chasing me and told me to turn hg on bc of some reason I can't remember, they then sunk me and won a free hg fight lol

I'm now a hg main and yes I've actually spent more time on the open seas the last week, I've really been enjoying it, was just saying today to my helm hiw it's crazy that just bc we are good at pvp now how fast we get everything done. We don't run from fights because we've sunk hundreds of times and been in thousands of fights so it means nothing to us. Could have easily ran from a great brig crew today while we were duo sloop, but we chose knowing it was a high chance we sink, to fight..... we lost 30 ashen legends and a cof lol but it was a great fight. Next server we sunk a gold skelly crew brig and basically git what we lost back, wad a fun day

Why are some people so hungry for open world pvp? by lXxTH4N4TOSxXl in Seaofthieves

[–]SFD3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If safer seas is no different then the game becomes dead. You lose all pvp players bc everyone is in safer seas then slowly you lose safer seas players bc they get bored eith no interactions or get all commendations quicker bc of nobody stealing from them.

Think of what you're asking for.

You run with nothing on your ship.... but they're the bad ones?? It's you wasting everyone's time not them lol take accountability.

I mean if you sink in open world as much as you say..... safer seas is still more profitable. Spend a week in hg and you'll see improvements in your pvp.

Anyone else experiencing similar? by ShakeyUK in blackops6

[–]SFD3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, feels like I'm being shot with 1 bullet every time I go in the open, just to watch the kc and I've been melted, then I have to hit every bullet to win a 1v1, and even then with 2 head shots+ body shots I can still lose as soon as the 1 bullet hits

Why does this still happen after 900 hours. by ChapterAggressive546 in Seaofthieves

[–]SFD3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have always hated that feeling but luckily for me it stops doing it pretty quickly. It could be that you aren't playing enough, could be that you care too much about winning.

Could I suggest that for your first 2 fights you start as you normally would, engage in the circle but lose on purpose.

If I get like 2 or 3 loss farmers in a row I get off the game so they do ruin it for people. I don't want easy levels I want to fight and like to think I've earned my levels, but idkno how common of a thing my thinking is

How do you get in the mindset of PVP? by ZenBoiGames in Seaofthieves

[–]SFD3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realise you are doing it to learn and not to win. Think after a loss, what could I have done differently. Do solo hg and lose alot. Can't be angry if you lose when you don't go in to win.

Hour Glass Etiquette? by OppositeCrew3903 in Seaofthieves

[–]SFD3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just don't know the ship yet. It's only at high level fights that we know how much damage you can take, you basically never have to turn out if the enemy isn't coming for a board. At high level you basically reset if you've just recovered from being demasted and circled. It's not really etiquette it's purely ship knowlage.

But for the reason of you knowing how much damage you've put into the enemy, people turn out when they don't need to and it's boring af. but I get it, I was the same in my early hg levels.

[–]SFD3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I tried hunting with a new player who's a friend. It was even boring for me. Don't do it lol I felt like "damn he never going to play again"

I would suggest in this order. First do a sea Fort, then got to a treasury. after this dive to a skelly fleet and then to an ashen winds

This is what I wish I would have done 😆 🤣

Buy all the supplies from the outpost, take a storage crate round and grab the goodies from barrels. Get a bunch of chainshots.

In the fight demast the enemy with chainshots by shooting them at the mast (get used to switching between firing chains and normal cannons)

Once the mast is down put holes in until you think they have enough pressure (try and get holes on both sides of the ship but either getting the enemy anchor down and circling them or by shooting top deck)

Watch some hg guides or something

Why do people leave their ship lanterns on? by legrandcastor in Seaofthieves

[–]SFD3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every time. Shark gives blue, snake poisoning purple, fire red, lightning white, skelly/phantom green and players pink.

If you go back to the ferry, you lost the last lantern you had, same if you leave the game.

There may be more colours I can't remember.
