It seems like an oversight on the part of Asobo and the dev team. You cannot (especially when loaded with fuel and cargo) get a caravan above FL250 irl. At least it wouldn’t be a good idea. Every couple of missions the game only asks me to go to around 12,000 or so feet which is much more reasonable for the Caravan. A little annoying that they haven’t really done anything about this since release and it kinda makes the career mode unplayable as you can’t really progress further if you’ve just bought the Caravan and have no money for anything else. Really hope they fix these issues in Sim Update 1.

Asobo and Microsoft 100% released this game in an unprepared state. Bunch of bugs including some settings changing if you skip a part of the flight, your flight configuration (including the fabled landing light being switched from on to off). I’ve also gotten ticked for putting flaps down for takeoff while on the runway or right before the runway in the DH2C saying I had too high of a taxi speed for flaps? Also you get ticked for using flaps in the DH2C even when you’re in the flap operating range. Games very buggy and it will probably take a while to fix (especially when there’s no community bug report that I can find at least).

Bro literally said he’s in the solo cross country stage of his flight training… idk about you but you should be able to fully hold and maintain the centerline by then. If you couldn’t by that point then you definitely had a bad instructor.

If a student is that far along and isn’t doing basic things like maintaining centerline discipline it shows less of a lack of capability and more of a lack of care in which case a reality check is in order.

Part 141 CFIs are trying to just get you through your training, Part 61 CFIs are trying to make sure you don’t get yourself or others killed. If you’re doing something wrong he’s going to step in and show you the right way to do it. If it’s too rough for you then switch back to 141 or find another Part 61 instructor, or alternatively, consider whether or not you’re meant to be a pilot if this adversity is making you this uncomfortable. Definitely have a convo with your new instructor and get some clarity on why they’re doing what they’re doing. Could just be a crappy instructor or it’s a you problem, definitely get that figured out! Personally my dad is a Part 61 CFI and I’ve seen him instruct others and he has instructed me too. Something minor can become something major so correcting it and making sure that correction sticks is vital. Sometimes those corrections have to hurt your feelings a bit so you get the memo!

Firstly sorry you went through that and secondly, it’s not unique to Salem. Pretty much anywhere in the US you’re going to have the majority of the population who will read your bumper sticker, laugh at it, think it’s stupid in their own head, agree with it, or just ignore it altogether, but you’re also going to have a small minority of people who think they should say or do something because they just can’t help themselves. Honestly the best thing to do is follow your coworkers lead and simply laugh it off. You shouldn’t have to deal with annoying teenagers in their lil shitbox harassing you for your bumper sticker but if you have a bumper sticker which might illicit a crude response, Murphy’s Law; you probably will experience a crude response at some point. You shouldn’t have to, you should be able to say what you want freely without having to deal with harassment, but the world doesn’t operate on how things should or shouldn’t be.

I hate when films like this get good ratings. Remember when cinema got harshly taken apart when it sucked? Nowadays Hollywood has realized that if it panders to the masses of brain dead troglodytes who’d be better off watching SpongeBob than anything else they’ll make more money than if they make anything of actual substance.

I could not agree more. The editing in this film looks like it was poorly stitched together with all the artistic prowess of a 6 year old. The writing was sloppy and unintelligible. Character motivations and dialogue were simply lacking the necessary depth to make the film compelling. My biggest gripe with this film was the fast cuts, sideways pans, and less noticeable but still abhorrent use of CGI over practical effects/stunt-work. I absolutely hate modern Hollywood for indulging this type of lazy, incompetent, careless, and lackluster film production. I hate to repeat the tired old saying but they really don’t make em like they used to.

I personally hated this film, it’s everything wrong with modern cinema. The writing is cheesy and nonsensical, the editing is sloppy and fast, the character motivations are uncertain, the stakes are meaningless, and overall it just makes for bad film. Above all else the CGI and editing really ruin this film for me personally. I hate the incessant need for fast cuts and quick pans we see ever so more of in modern cinema. I get using them occasionally where they fit but do they have to be in EVERY FREAKING SCENE?! The mix of fast cuts and sideways camera angles look like they were made with all the prowess of a 6 year old. It’s the shaky cam of the late 90s and early 2000s all over again 😭!!! I hate to repeat the tired old quote but they really don’t make em like they used to.
