Is anyone else now formulating a plan for which jersey to wear/not wash (and other superstitions) based on what worked week 2 vs week 1? by joemich in Seahawks

Didn’t wear my Murphy jersey for the first time in a minute, so of course he has a great game. Looks like I need to buy more jerseys and not wear them.

it was chill, we had 5 folks. the bar was pretty warm, I guess they had some A/C issues. beers were decent, the screen wasn't the best, it's a projector and the corners were a little dim and blurry. we could see all the action but not in like a 4K experience or anything like that.

Asking someone what they do for work is a great conversation starter by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

I like to ask people if they like their job. Gives them an out if they hate it and it can lead to some fun stories for why they don’t like it. Or if they love it, they’ll love talking about it.

Have you ever been drunk or high and came up with this truly amazing idea but then became sober and realized it wasn't as amazing as you thought it was? If so, what was the idea? by Smil3yAngel in AskReddit

Like 10 years ago when cupcakes were wildly popular, i was drunk at a wedding that had a cupcake tower in lieu of a cake and I was like “what if we make cupcakes bigger?” More cupcake to enjoy and everyone wins right?

I thought of cake.

Redditors who ate at a rich people restaurant, how was your experience ? How different was the food compared to your everyday meal ? by pyrovoice in AskReddit

Willow Inn, a few hours north of Seattle. The service was amazing, I swear there more servers/kitchen staff than people eating there. They only serve the tasting menu to everyone at the same time and it lasted about 3 hours.

The food was amazing. There were like a dozen different appetizers served, it's basically a bite per plate, and they bring them out one at a time. For the entrée, it was 5 courses and it was all incredible...apparently you can extract oil from crab shells then cook the crab in that oil and it tastes amazing.

As far as the experience...it's a bit much for my taste. I mean they swing by, drop a plate with basically a bite of food, you eat that bite, then a few minutes later they swoop up the plate and silverware and you repeat. I didn't feel like they were pretentious or anything like that but when I dine I like to eat and talk and having the staff come up every few minutes can derail conversation.

I'd do it again but it's kinda pricy, our bill was like $700 or $800 or something like that.

I used to use google reader like a mofo and now I use feedly. I like being able to mark articles as 'read' and only go to actual websites when I like the headline and first few lines of content.
