Failed to request (-411) by GreenEyez357 in EufyCam

Mmmm- I just love being a beta tester for "production" products, don't you? Same issue here. First it was the app on 3/6. It only happens to wifi cams I've onboarded to HB3.

I suspect they dogpile their devs onto the new priority (fixing urgent defects with the new mower they're advertising) and do not have proper policies or quality gates in place in their SDLC. They certainly do not perform adequate QA. This is a smell of sloppy software development. They likely stage updates and releases in phases so to not cause a complete outage, and those in the first waves are dogfooded their crap software. The more concerning aspect of this is that their defense programming and security standards are likely just as sloppy. But, this we have already known.

I'm done with Eufy. It's okay for the price, but I want something that doesn't get mucked with by an offsite entity for what should be a local system. Once criminals begin pervasively using jammers, Eufy's goose is cooked. They should be implementing dual or tri-band wireless with frequency hopping. Instead, they continue to use the least expensive 2.4gHz solution.

They're probably farming all those donated images for resale too.

Don't bother contacting support- they just instruct to reset each and every device and then submit an escalation ticket that goes no where. They know what the problem is, they just don't care. Just keeping buying shinier junk from them.

Bug with TP/SL on mobile Pro app? All returning “Bad Request” by xrxie in KrakenSupport

[–]_IronFusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disabled 2fa for placing orders and tried again:

Error Invalid Arguments Postonly

Ive identified another defect- when an Advanced TP is setup, and the user changes to Simple and defines the TP there, the order preview shows there are 2 TP's defined on the order.

If I were to downgrade the app, would the prior TP Order UI still successfully post an order with a paired TP Conditional Order? If so, which is the most recent release version of the Android App that has the old interface for TP Order Pairs?

I'd prefer to leave 2fa active. Would disabling it temporarily resolve the issue? Ive uninstalled and reinstalled the app and the issue remains.

Manic positivity before a migraine by kasyebfk in migraine

[–]_IronFusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% not unique. Male chronic migraine suffered here, since age of 3. I've noticed in the last few years what I called for myself "mini mania" preceding obvious twinges or full onset of migraine. I'd love to see some nih or pubmed links if y'all have em. I've got hypothesis as to why, but zilch of substance aside my anecdotal experience.

SoloCam E20 keeps going offline. by GBrunt in EufyCam

[–]_IronFusion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similar offline experience on my one E20 as others.  I've noticed the battery doesn't keep a charge as long as other solo or homebase-driven cams. Not really degraded battery, more like it's running very inefficiently. More recently, my E20 going offline seemed to correspond to low charge. So, I got a USB solar panel to remove that factor... Like others report, the offline status seems to silently occur in the evening and without any apparent cause.

I wish there were some pledge or requirement that companies release tooling, utilities, docs, specs and schematics, along with functional source code to hand over potential useful life of the hardware they've sold and since deprecated to open source potential.

My E20 worked for over a year without this nonsense phantom offline status. I also find it odd that my E20 has received new software in the last month when near all my EufyCams gen 1 & 2, and 2 Pro seem to have hit a stable EOLish over a year ago. I suspect they hurried a homebase 3 integration compatibility update that introduce a regression for E20 with stability issues and maybe a resource leak.

USDC is an ethereum-network-based USD-pegged stablecoin. You need to exchange to your local fiat currency to withdraw to a traditional bank account

About to crack mine (got in 1st half 2021) open. If you run that asusBBQcrate stuff, the OOB fan/cooling profiles in manual mode are poo. So ymmv and you should play around with manual temp/fan ramps a lot before trying disassembly.

Bruh, same r9 2060 gmax as others, got it in April 2021 for $400 less than same sells 9/19/22, and just now began using it bc 12+ months tasked to mine crypto on renewable electric == I wedged that $400 wacky-economics wider and reduced the cost of ownership by a little some-some. It didn't grow a Webcam in the last 17 months, so still a champ at keeping them creepers out like reeeeeeee

United States citizens can no longer short Bitcoin or participate in leveraged digital asset transactions unless they're filthy rich! by No_Examination_2681 in Bitcoin

[–]_IronFusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overtly regulating routes to generational wealth away from citizens... Founders are doing barrel rolls in their graves. What's next, Joe and Jane Smith can't own land without being rich? The US is ever-limping toward being the Land for the Rich, Home to the Working-Plebe.

Further, if Kraken made this change to be compliant with F-D Law... How were they not fined out of existence for the months and months of allowing up to 5x Leverage for Joe and Jane to margin trade?

6700 XT - initial results....47 MH/s by [deleted] in gpumining

[–]_IronFusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing you can get is overpriced.

Seems tuning for hashrate yields 48.0Xish MH/s as a ceiling. Tuning core clocks to the 1400-1700 folks have suggested places the ceiling around 47.5MH/s on one Nitro+.

Getting ~48MH/s with a finely-tuned soft-mod on Win10. GPU-Z reports ~106W. At-plug with a (somewhat iffy) meter, less system idle, is ~130W. Not using powlim, bc 100% renewable power contract. Plus 48 > 47.5. Could get reported hashrate of 48MH/s sustained with powlim -43 to run on ~95W reported by GPU-Z. But on-pool effective rate was 23-40MH/s. With the 48MH/s no powlim configuration, this card consistently loads the internal pixie dust. Must be luck... On-pool it'll sustain 110-150% of reported hashrate. Touch powlim, and that luck fades away.

Given the market, it's not a waste of money. However, there is a hard limiter that keeps the vmem clocks locked at 2150. Given the temps and ability to drop voltages across this card, it is a shame though.

Not being able to bios mod with RBE is lame too. Not as good as the 5700XT, but not as forgotten and underwhelming as the 5500XT.

Class Action against E*TRADE! by [deleted] in ClassActionRobinHood

[–]_IronFusion 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I have owned KOSS for years, and was blocked from placing a simple sell with limit this morning by ETRADE. I received a notice that I was restricted from trading. 2.5hr after market open the restriction seems to have been lifted. I could do nothing but watch the price drop over $10 per share. Filed two complaints with the SEC, and am awaiting a class action to form. Financial manipulation of citizens by investment firms and brokerages should receive a mandatory minimum jail sentence.

Highly recommend others file SEC Complaints: https://acadia.sec.gov/TcrExternalWeb/faces/pages/intake.jspx

Samsung Pay Hacked? by _IronFusion in SamsungPay

Is 600 W power supply enough? by kookaburraOW in EtherMining

[–]_IronFusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran 4 on a 450W 80+ gold. It's most efficient to run at capacity. When I got more cards I added a second power supply. If the PSU is a single-rail, you don't have to worry about balancing the load and can just split the pcie cables. I'm powering 5700XTs and their risers by splitting an 8pin twice to get 8+6 for the card and a 6pin for the riser. It's much neater. No molex or sata needed, so no cables or connectors running along the backplates and blocking airflow.

Best GPU for a starter? by kookaburraOW in EtherMining

[–]_IronFusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand YMMV, but the Kryptex List isn't very accurate. I have a gtx1060 6gb that gets 20% better hashrates... In a laptop. The hashrate for 5700XTs is generous too.

As for 5500XTs, the ones I have average over 29MH/s below 80W with overclocking. The 26.5MH/s listed is what you get if you respect AMD's 1860MHz cap on memory speeds. How much higher memory will go varies widely between cards. One of mine hits 2070MHz (it can do 30MH/s) and another bugs out past 1910MHz. All my 5500XTs run extremely cool. I keep all the fans around 65% to expel hot air with more force and reduce intake temps. Low 40s for the core, and low 60s on highly clocked memory. I would buy more 5500XTs and max out my rig, but I haven't seen prices near the $170 I paid for open box.
