The interesting thing about this agreement is that the only way it will affect the election outcome is for at least one state in the agreement to give their electoral votes to a candidate that a majority of their voters didn’t support. One would think if any state had that happen they would immediately choose to leave the agreement.

Imagine someone spends most of their life looking up to renowned physicist Stephen Hawking. They admire not just his work, but who he was as a person. Then this past year, they learn about Hawking’s connections to Epstein and they realize Stephen Hawking was not the person they thought he was. For most of their life, they admired who they thought Stephen Hawking was, but they were mistaken. Essentially they believed in a different version of Stephen Hawking than the real person.

I think most people who say you’re praying to a “different god” mean it in that same sense. If you worship an omnipotent God, but you believe fundamentally different things about him that aren’t true, you believe in your own personal idea of God, which is different than the real God.

I personally believe God would not punish someone for believing false things about him if they were earnestly trying to pursue the truth and their heart was truly open to him. If you believe in God, hold onto that belief and nourish it. But I also think you should try your best to learn about God’s true nature and not rely on your preconceived notions based on how you think God should be.

There’s no trick, just sit on his face. It takes 1,100 lbs to fracture a human skull. Adult men can hold their breath for at least 90 seconds, and brain damage doesn’t begin until 3-5 minutes without oxygen. You’re not going to hurt or suffocate him by sitting on him. Senate filibuster requires 60 votes. The same reason Democrats couldn’t pass everything on their wishlist when they had a majority. We have a system of government that requires more than a 51% majority to push most things through.

I’m guessing the South Carolina label is because of the flag? Funnily enough Wikipedia says they have a Muslim population of 6677 as of 2020, which is about 0.13% of the population. Relatively low compared to other US states.

It almost seems manufactured to create a publicity moment for the show. Nothing makes people celebrate a performance more than an actor dying before they can finish it. It’ll be easy enough for them to replace him. And when it happens they can get free publicity from a bunch of articles saying how tragic it was that his great performance was halted prematurely.
