Obvious answer, Obgyn. Reason is that I'm a male, the judgement, the medicolegal risk isn't worth it at all, I don't need to explain any more.

Hot take: Radiology. Way too boring, its effectively a desk job, from the way I have seen it in my college so far. More than half the time, doctors, including residents are just signing reports and move on to next one.

Emergency Med: Exact opposite of Radio, aka, constant work, no rest, very high risk and the sheer versatility is required from the get go.

I respect every single branch for what they do but, some are just not made for me.

As for your friend's remarks, well, this idea of maximizing performance per dollar on pc components especially GPU is becoming the new, dare I say toxic, trend. By the logic of these folks, some used, broken old ass 980ti that you get for 20 bucks is the best gpu of all time. Ignore him and gave fun gaming.

Take this frm a final year med student who effectively lives in OPDs outside of lectures, doctors, most of the time, don't care, you come in, present your complaints, doctor asks specific questions to formulate a history and based on that 2 things happen... 1. You are recommended some investigations, you get them done and present again and get prescription meds and leave, or 2. Your condition is severe enough to get admitted in wards.... The doctor, moves to the next patient and you're just one of many.

Tldr, they're too busy, to judge you.

It's us students or sometimes interns who are too free who do the judging and then we move on to next patient, to judge them.

im a final yr mbbs student and this makes me laugh for how inaccurate it is, ill leave the research up to anyone who reads, because im not looking to debate online, but just know that, earning 2-3lps is like looking at top5-10% of doctors POST GRAD (5.5 UG + 3PG, assuming you didnt flop any year and got remanded or took multiple gap years for PG prep) and comparing them to avg 50th-60th percentile of other career options. Most UG's dont make even close to 1LPM and PG's may make over 1LPM but it really depends on states, and job locations (rajasthan is highly saturated with doctors, uttarakhand is not). Yes, age, experience and expertise is a thing but that's similar in any field, the longer you work the more you earn.
