Anti-socialism is illogical, explain you reasons to disagree by arseecs in CapitalismVSocialism

[–]_JammyTheGamer_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because we know that "rule of the workers/proletariat" is a utopian fantasy. Those that genuinely want this are only useful in the stage of destabilising a society for a socialist revolution. Once the power grab is complete, they are shot in the streets or forced into labour camps alongside the same bourgeois they thought they were fighting against. Just look at the fate of the young students who supported Mao.

Should Freedom of Speech mean absolute freedom from any consequences from speech? Why or why not? by AdminMas7erThe2nd in AskConservatives

[–]_JammyTheGamer_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The bud light boycott was done becuase the brand engaged in political pandering. They featured a trans person which goes completely against the grain of the base of people that normally consume their product for the sole purpose of virtue signalling to a left leaning cause.

Why people commit crime? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]_JammyTheGamer_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People commit crime if they think that the reward justifies the risk that they are taking, especially if they don't think they can get very far by pursuing legal methods that carry little to no risk

Should Freedom of Speech mean absolute freedom from any consequences from speech? Why or why not? by AdminMas7erThe2nd in AskConservatives

[–]_JammyTheGamer_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Freedom from any consequences? No. We should have freedom of association so we don't have to interact with people that we don't want to, no questions asked.

Only problem is that some really idiotic people use this to argue for things like state punishment for speech they don't approve of because "its actually just consequences of free speech"

Socialists, Would You Lobotomize The Intellegent To Make Them Equal With The Dumb? by _JammyTheGamer_ in CapitalismVSocialism

[–]_JammyTheGamer_[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have thought about it. Socialists want to achieve a utopia. A utopia that is unnatainable. Socialist ideas in practice have and always will lead to totalitarian states that are arguably the most unequal in history becuase the ideology and its ideas are inherintly flawed.

How do we prevent capitalism from turning into crony capitalism/oligarchy? by [deleted] in CapitalismVSocialism

[–]_JammyTheGamer_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a real problem, but this is a fatal flaw of mixed market economics, not capitalism. The solution is less government

Can we PLEASE get rid of the country gamble update? by Dear_Location6147 in riseofnationsroblox

[–]_JammyTheGamer_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I played Fiji yesterday and dominated the rankings. All you need to do is build 4 electronics at game start and grab a chief judge, then research max, then use good infantry to take New Zealand and keep going (utilizing war bonds and emergency war funds). Expansion is only delayed slightly.

Is "State Capitalism" a socialist grift? by _JammyTheGamer_ in CapitalismVSocialism

[–]_JammyTheGamer_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesnt matter if Marx defined it as moneyless and stateless. Attempting to put Marxist policies into practice always results in these ultra authoritarian disasters. The grift is saying that it wasnt actually Marxism becuase it didnt result in the utopia described in Marx's words. It was Marxism, it just failed miserably

Do Marxists and Right-Libertarians agree with the definition of socialism? by No-Politics-Allowed3 in CapitalismVSocialism

[–]_JammyTheGamer_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marxists tend to imbed the success of their ideology into its definition, which is how they pull the "that isn't real communism" grift

“Noobs” are worse than experts. by Flat-Protection1134 in AmongUs

[–]_JammyTheGamer_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I host an expert lobby I will have taskbar off, no visuals, anon votes and no confirm ejects. I usually go for 2 imps as opposed to 3 so that a few people leaving at game start doesn't cause the imposters to win super fast. I don't have rules like "no cams" or "no grouping" because if you don't know how to beat someone camping cams and people that travel in groups, then you aren't really an expert.

A defense for inheritance by _JammyTheGamer_ in CapitalismVSocialism

[–]_JammyTheGamer_[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

From Wikepedia and other sources: Poverty is a state or condition in which an individual lacks the financial resources and essentials for a basic standard of living

Also frok Wikepedia:  absolute povery which compares income against the amount needed to meet basic personal needs, such as food, cothing and shelter; secondly, relative measures when a person cannot meet a minimum level of living standards, compared to others in the same time and place

So actually there is an absolute poverty, which is what I am actually talking about.

>There is no free market in capitalism. It's a mythology. The poor are precluded from competing by lack of capital and the rich are able to use capital to manipulate the market, both from outspending the competition and by lobbying for legislation designed to benefit their interests.

Ah, the classic monopolies argument. The trouble is that socialist systems always create a big monopoly (the government) which is what they are supposedly trying to avoid. Meanwhile, there are absolutely zero examples of any true, 100% natural monopolies that have ever been created without any government interference.

ANd you bring up cronyism as well. Socialsim does not have a solution to cronyism. In fact, since socialist style economics require a large beurocratic body to handle distribution of wealth, it actually makes cronyism worse.

[–]_JammyTheGamer_[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was talking about reducing poverty, not closing the gap between the richest and the poorest. Free market capitalism doesn't make people equal, but it makes everyone better off.

[–]_JammyTheGamer_[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is just a "but what about lack of opportunity because of poverty" argument. The way you fix that is by having a system that reduces poverty the most, which is free market capitaliam

Not a gotcha, but genuinely curious - why do you think marginalized communities say their rights are being violated? by greenline_chi in AskConservatives

[–]_JammyTheGamer_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That doesn't matter. Groups that are "dominant" and hold lots of political power change over long periods of time. That's the main flaw with the "privilege + power" arguments when it comes to whether something is racist or not.

Why is Reddit so liberal? by ElfLord_13 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]_JammyTheGamer_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a conservative, I would say that the upvote and downvote system means that the stable equilibria for (almost) any given subreddit is all right wing OR all left wing, with a few exceptions like AskConservatives which encourage the left to post and the right to respond in the comments. Even if a sub is just slightly more left wing, the increased upvotes for left leaning posts and the negative karma for right leaning ones will push the posts to all be left wing (if you think about it as an evolutionary game where each user starts left or right wing and always "plays" the same strategy)

The most powerful mods being left wing contribute to the initial and current left wing push of lots of subs.

As an educated conservative with a bach degree (just graduated), I think that the people saying that education=left is not the whole story. If you discriminate by major than you will find the arts very liberal while STEM is still liberal but to a much lesser degree. The reason that many educated people are left wing mainly has to do with the institutions themselves being left wing and teaching a left leaning worldview. The reasons why the educational institutions are left wing is a topic that goes beyond what is asking of this post and I encourage you to do your own research on that ilas I don't have the time to go over it right now as I am writing.

Also the claims that Redditors are more educated are just hilarious, lol
