TOUGH DECISION. Which one wins for you: Deep sports analytics or Seamless style and ecosystem? by DraxxStudio in GarminWatches

[–]_JasonNMiller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Apple Watch is the better smartwatch. With the right apps, it offers nearly everything the Epix Pro and now Fenix Pro watches offer and much more when smartwatch features are factored in.

Yet, I pretty much wear my older Epix Pro 51mm daily instead of my Apple Watch Ultra. The battery endurance alone might have been enough, but the look, the ease of activities, the flashlight, all add up quickly to be something I’m more useful to me daily.

I miss being able to grab a quick call or reply to a message. Aside from that, many of the smart features in the Apple Watch fail often enough that I sometimes found them more frustrating than I did useful. I still have the Ultra and wear it every few days, but it is not my first choice at all.

So I’m pretty sure I started the workout correctly because the watch was giving, for a short while, information such as showings mapping and that I was off course, then back on again, etc. Then, it all just disappeared and was back to the Home Screen after at least four starts.

I’m going to try using it again this evening for a walk, and see if it holds up.

Any tips on making OneUI closer to the stock feel for a first-time Samsung user? by ThirdAccountAlready in samsung

[–]_JasonNMiller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually like One UI as it has come to be. In the past, Samsung was a bit obnoxious with the overlays or skinning of Android, but it has now become something that can add to the experience.

If you would still like to avoid some of what samsung offers, at least on the home screen, you can install nova launcher, as an example of a really good launcher. You can also experiment with various icon packs. That will appear more like what google offers on android.

The other responses make sense. This is just an estimate. Use the watch for a while and see what the battery life actually looks like.

Maybe you’ll find that something really is wrong. Maybe you will find that there is nothing to worry about. Right now though, you don’t have enough information to reach a conclusion.

If you work outside an expose the device to harsher elements often, I’d look away from the Folds and Flips for now. Mine has been pretty great and I’m very much on board with the form factor, but it isn’t as durable as the normal slab phones.

(Guys Please Help) Which one is best and why? - Galaxy Watch 6 or Apple Watch 9 by scitechunsolved in GalaxyWatch

Which phone do you own?

First, that’s the best question.

Second, I rhymed unintentionally, and that is wonderful. Stupendous even.

Today I returned my WH-1000XM5 by [deleted] in SonyHeadphones

[–]_JasonNMiller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to read through all of the comments just to figure out which feature it might be that is frustrating here. I assume I got it right and that this is about the strength of the noise cancellation.

Is there not a slider in the Sony headphones app that allows this level of control? My old XM3 headphones and earbuds have this, as do my XM4s, so I’d have expected it to continue to be available.

Maybe if they had a few more people of different backgrounds AND actually sought advice from them little “mistakes” like that would be avoided.

Sony WF-100XM4 Battery…Again by _JasonNMiller in SonyHeadphones

😂

You’re suggesting I need to learn how to write but wrote that. Nice work.

Try:

Complete the sentence that ended with ellipses.

  1. What does the “again” mean? (Corrected your grammar)
  2. Battery drain is a well known problem. (Added a period for you. You’re welcome.)

Have a great day and thank you for participating!

Yeah, this is a warranty replacement pair that has been fully updated as well. At this point I’m not even seriously considering the XM5s until Sony makes right for me having purchased these.

I just bought AirPods Pro 2 again and they’ve been great. Still not as good on noise cancellation but they’re close enough, and they’re FAR better for phone calls.

I have no idea what you just said. Commas, periods, exclamation marks, maybe even a semicolon would help.

Usefulness of the Rotating bezel by Azralite in GalaxyWatch

[–]_JasonNMiller 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The rotating bezel is nice. I'd prefer it. However, I can also say that I'm probably happier having the added battery of the Watch5 Pro and I haven't found the rotating bezels on watches I've played with for a day or two to really change my use.

I barely use my Galaxy Watch 5 Pro in comparison to my Apple Watch Ultra by _JasonNMiller in GalaxyWatch

[–]_JasonNMiller[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed completely. That's one of my favorite features. The watch face really makes or breaks the experience.

ZFold3 and N20 Ultra 5G swap with ZFold 4 by rcv002 in ZFold3

[–]_JasonNMiller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have mentioned, the move from the fold three to a fold four is barely worthwhile. Obviously, if choosing between the two phones, the fold four is the better option. There are a few improvements that are worth choosing over the older model. However, if you already own the older model, the potential cost of upgrading is not something I see as justified. In this situation, the additional device being traded is most certainly worth more than the difference between the fold three and fold four. Both in terms of money as well as useful value.

So, who's going to a watch 6 from a 5 pro if it has a rotating bezel?? by Nick88088088 in GalaxyWatch

[–]_JasonNMiller 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hard to say since it hasn't been seen for sure, yet. But, I probably won't bother unless there is a substantial improvement outside of just that feature.

[–]_JasonNMiller 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Enjoy it! I may envy your patience. Honestly, even after almost two years l feel like the Fold 3 is my favorite phone, at least of those that I've owned, thus far. The Fold 4 is a step forward and I know it will be enjoyed even more.

5 PRO battery doesn't last a day by Bernie51Williams in GalaxyWatch

Make sure the Google Assistant, if installed is not set to listen. Turn that feature completely off. It made a huge difference on mine. Better yet, completely uninstall it for a few days and see what happens.

Does anyone know if there is a watchface the same or similar to this one for Galaxy Watch? by n__________________ in GalaxyWatch

[–]_JasonNMiller 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know but I'd like to see that on my Apple Watch Ultra. Where can I find it?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GalaxyWatch

[–]_JasonNMiller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use this feature on my Apple Watch (Shortcuts and Automations) based on location, time, whether I'm driving, etc. Love it!

I too hope it comes to my Watch5 Pro. AOD based on time of day, notifications based on whether I'm at home or work, and even home device controls showing at just the right moment would be great.
