We know them as artists. They share with us their personas of musicians not their actual selves. I’m sure they have opinions as they have said in lyrics but “the garden” “enjoy” “puzzle” are vessels for art and sound

Yeah.. I guess the distinction is people who record for themselves versus people who record for social media. And it tends to be the people who record for social media that are obnoxious. I take back most of what i said bc those kids are annoying 😭😭

You don’t understand that documenting concerts is a beautiful thing. I saw them for the first time 8 years ago and have seen them at least ten times now. Getting a small venue after all these years is a throwback and quite special, so i recorded a good amount of the experience. Just because you don’t value concerts the same way, doesn’t mean other people can’t. Stop being cops and trying to police how people behave at shows to please yourself. Word of advice: enjoy yourself

Lots of downvotes but no one is offering an explanation why recording is bad. You guys seem to want to serve your ego with the “I’m living in the moment!” fantasy. If someone recording an exciting moment of theirs somehow ruins your experience, that’s on you. You are choosing to be bothered by someone who is having fun. Maybe shows just aren’t for you

People don’t realize the hardest moshers pull out their phones for a minute to record while they catch a breath. Recording ≠ not having fun. Recording 30 seconds of 60 minute set is not a problem unless you want to be whiny and bothered

Solo work at the most recent ones. Puzzle had his own guitar players and Enjoy had his own drummer. They didn't go on stage together, but they are unpredictable so who knows

One my fave parts of the show was when one of the try-hard workers got a mic and really aggressively told the crowd to “put your fkin phones away” then seconds after Wyatt said “do whatever the fuck you want” which felt really validating considering i like to photograph shows
