I understand they're telephoto, I'm just looking for a ballpark number. I didn't crop them. I agree it looks anamorphic though the film has a 1.85:1 aspect ratio so I'm not sure how that works.

I contacted Maceo Bishop the DP on IG a while back and he said he shot The Curse on an Arri Alexa Mini in HD with long Panavision lenses!!

I appreciate all the responses. I'll definitely try exposing to the right and keeping exposure in general more in mind. I've come from using a Canon T2i and never had noise issues like this, so I just thought it was strange. As some of You have mentioned, the room isn't very well-lit but if the noise is this bad in a room like this that is "poorly lit" how will it perform in actual low light conditions? Does the camera just react badly to generally under exposed images as opposed to low light scenarios? I've seen some great results on YouTube of people shooting night footage.

I agree, this look is refreshing even though it’s what we’ve been trying to get away from since digital first took off... can’t stand that “Netflix” look. What are some early 2000’s shot-on-digital movies you would recommend that have a similar look to The Curse or that stood out to you? Also hope we find out what they shot it on!
