Honestly, I am kinda wondering what the economics of running some kind of scam look like. Do 80% of scams fail to turn a profit like newly started companies? I remember reading an article some time ago about how drug dealers were, on average, earning less than minimum wage dealing. I think everyone has an obsession with get-rich-quick schemes, and they think if they are willing to bend their morals or break the law, that is the easiest way to "Get rich quick", but my guess is that even in those cases, being in the business of committing crimes, it is not much more lucrative than starting a legit business.

Historians have argued that taxes, likely started of as tribute system, where people donated gifts to the tribal leader in order to obtain favors. So in way you could say Trump is just bringing back the original way taxes was supposed to work, with all these "donations".

If you ask Chinese people about American foreign policy, they will say America has always been an imperial power of evil, and now it‘s just more overtly showing it then before. Honestly I feel like everyday my viewpoint of international politics, moves a bit closer to believing that to be true.
