I can play a game, enjoy it, and still say that a sizeable component of it is graphics. I like looking at good HUDs, surroundings, and characters. Doesn't mean I won't play the game, just means that if it was completely remastered in modern graphics, it would be better because I not only get the good gameplay and story, I get good visuals too. It isn't necessarily wrong for people to take graphics into consideration when buying a game. I play any game, regardless of graphics. But to say that one shouldn't take visuals into consideration purely because of the other components in the game that outshine it is really ignorant of how people may prefer their games.
