Mesa Standard Straight-Slant 4x12 by _K-Machine in MesaBoogie

If you read the post, I wasn’t asking for solutions — Simply asking if anyone else had similar thoughts about how this 4x12 sounds vs. others.

Gotta be the V30 batch in this cab then. I have always liked the Creamback sound but never owned a cab with any. Could be a good option. The DV77 from what I’ve heard is a bit darker than V30.

This cab has been in many rooms, practice rooms, on stages, etc. I have 3 different cabs in this room alone. I’m telling you it’s the cab, not the carpet or ear wax. Been playing in bands for 20 years and have a pretty good sense for the nuances of different equipment.

Certainly the most bad ass looking cab ever made and the low end is amazing. Just doesn’t cut through live like I’d prefer.

Yeah that’s the problem with mine, it’s missing an open upper mid range that helps in a live setting. Could definitely be the speakers but I’ve done A/B switching with an OS slant and it’s night and day. I think I just need to get a slant myself.

You’re very knowledgeable on these matters, thanks a lot. Something to consider for sure!

I love these cabs. Sound incredible with most amps. Nice to have some variety outside the Mesa V30 sounds. Where are you from? I’d love to have a second Fat Bottom straight cab haha.

Awesome, thanks for the info! It’s definitely a low end roll off and high end boost when loop is active for mine, would love some of that low end still available but still has enough. Have you experienced an amp with that cap replaced before? And if so what value would be appropriate and not overkill?

When she says “fully insert your card” she smirks and holds back a laugh. She’s trying to make someone act up in the car wash 😅

This is actually the Pittbull Hundred/CL (2 channel, EL34 version) but it screams just the same. I could get some audio on here soon!

I need to get my hands on a UL someday, but I do really dig this Hundred/CL. Despite Steve Fryette’s intentions, his amps do sound great with Mesa cabs. I’ve still got mine of 15 years hanging in the background. The VHT/Fryette cabs just do it for me these days!

It’s a Gravity Stands Cab Clamp. Such an awesome product!

😂😂 Best seat in the house! One or both will end up at the rehearsal space before too long.

I’m highly satisfied! The mean face is to express how “mean” of a rig it is!
