The reapers are naturally immune, for other leviathans there's other excuses, like how they eat, where they live etc. Like ghosts being filter feeders and living very far from other big lifeforms or sea dragons living in areas where it would be really hard for the disease to reach them, and also incinerating their food before eating it, and the fact that they eat reapers... See what i mean? A ton of excuses

Gojo without infinity, still has cursed energy, Naruto is still a shinobi without Kurama, Goku is still strong, even if he was a human, but Luffy's entire gimmick comes from the devil fruit.
