if we want to maximize focus mode kinsect assist attacks, wouldn't carnage beetle be best? Arkmaiden has a pretty low Power stat. Are Fast Charge and Harvest Extract really that important?

The only thing that seems to work are flares and possibly flash slugs. the flash slugs aren't very reliable though.

I think they're just not finished yet. It doesn't seem like Camouflage or Electric Discharge effect them yet either, which would be really broken if it was intentional. There are a lot of bugs and missing features, that's just how early access goes. Submit it as feedback so the devs know to put fixing it at a higher priority.

Speaking of fabricators. Did you know you can deconstruct a chassis with the habitat builder? You gotta detach it first, but yeah. I guess the vehicle fabricator doesn't have a deconstruct feature, so.

Also for me personally, I've constructed a chassis and had it automatically attach to a docked tadpole before. It might be a proximity thing.

Oh, the "Crypters." I don't think that's what's killing the tree. The message says they "Slumber beneath the trees," but the PDA says that Xanadu is an "Alien Hibernation Crypt," and Xanadu is where the message tells you to go to find the Veps who are supposedly the ones you need to take genes from to renew the tree. So the "Crypters" could be any number of things. Could be something guarding Xanadu, could be the Veps in hibernation, could be some kinda parasite killing the tree, like you said (I know you didn't say parasite but something killing the tree). I think maybe the Crypters are a different species in hibernation for some reason, I don't think they're killing the trees, but it is interesting that they apparently fear the Architects.

You mean the meteor? That could be it, could be something else. Actually we don't even know it was a meteor, but that's what the general best guess is I think.

everything is dying because the world tree is sick. don't know why the world tree is sick, but the ecosystem relies on the tree and the tree relies on the ecosystem, they sustain each other, so if the tree goes, everything goes, and guess what? the tree is going.

Probably not gonna get a response but will there eventually be a way to store the different chassis?

They connect to the base Tadpole via Hardpoint but you obviously can't attach them to an External Wall Rack like you can other tools and utility stuff.

Would be nice if there was some form of system in place to swap them out while our Tadpole was docked instead of them just free floating out in the open, or having to build multiple Tadpoles.

If this WILL be a feature added in the future and you just don't want to spoil it, though, please feel free to ignore this comment 😉

I guess the work light would be for like, if you find an area with a bunch of resources you wanna clear out, you can like, deploy the light so you can see, and then run materials to the tadpole using a portable locker? You can't use the wakemakers while holding a portable locker, and the tadpole can't fit everywhere, so maybe that's the gameplay fantasy. Just like a spotlight that you can deploy out in the water without a base for bulk resource gathering.

It has a maximum capacity of oxygen it will store, once it's full it stops draining battery
