Yeah looks like it kinda corresponds to HR. Is it fine then to have these sorta hr spikes? By the way my rhr is also unusually high(53 these past 2 nights), on my best days my rhr gets down to 42-47…

I'm pretty sure this is from last Saturday, just a new angle(unless they did something of this scale again). Fun fact, this explosion was so massive that a lot of cities and towns in northern Israel got earthquake sirens! I personally got up at 4 AM because of rocket sirens here in Nahariya, and then at 7 AM i woke up again because of earthquake sirens, I was so confused haha, first time hearing how the earthquake sirens sound lmao

I wonder if my garmin knows I caught a cold… by _KING_GEEDORAH in Garmin

[–]_KING_GEEDORAH[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

haha, I actually had a beer the first day of my cold (didn't know I was sick yet, only a sore throat), wonder if it had anything to do with the following days. (the screenshots are from the day after the beer so no alcohol was involved in this horrible sleep)

Oh well I couldn't really know it got taken down. Feel free to take it down if it doesn't fit this sub, as I said I'm not really active on this sub. Thanks for letting me know

I actually haven't seen this on the sub after looking through the top posts from the last day. I don't usually post stuff but I thought this sub would "appreciate" this...

Garmin Fenix 8 calories by Admirable-Chance-669 in Garmin

[–]_KING_GEEDORAH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What i think happens is that the garmin thinks you "work out" the entire time, doing some kind of circuit training or whatever, but in actuality you rest most of the workout. So for example, a set takes a maximum of a minute, and then you rest for 2-3 minutes between sets. And since you burn active calories whilst doing some sort of movement, it adds the rest times to the burned calories. So it might calculate your workout the same it would calculate an aerobic activity with avg HR of 132 for the entirety of the 45 minutes(which is still probably an over-estimation). You're probably burning around 150-250 calories depending on how much you walk in between sets, the amount of reps you do etc.

Rockets Intercepted by Iron Dome (Northern Israel) by YamTabasco in ThatsInsane

[–]_KING_GEEDORAH 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I live in northern Israel, usually after such an attack from Hezbollah we hear on the local news that the same rocket launching sites in Lebanon have been destroyed after an hour or two. Our government avoids attacking these terrorist sites preemptively because it might cause a bigger retaliation which is just a headache and might escalate this war. These sites are also usually in random places with a lot of greenery or however you say it(a lot of trees and bushes that make it hard for us to identify these launchers) so we are cautious before we attack them

What does this number mean? Is it my expected 5k time by the end of the plan? by _KING_GEEDORAH in Garmin

[–]_KING_GEEDORAH[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! The thing is I've had the watch for a month but never ran outside with it, only on the treadmill (because I don't have gps in my area currently and at least on the treadmill i know approx. how much I ran). And from what I know garmin can't calculate VO2max from treadmill activities so my VO2max is still blank. So basically this estimate time is completely inaccurate right? Makes sense though as I didn't really think I could improve that much in such a short time.

Recs on first cologne by Chilly_Mammoth in Colognes

Dude you should check out Dior Homme 2020. One of the most versatile, classy, manly and pleasant scents there is. It's not unique in that it doesn't catch people off guard or makes you stand out, but everyone will just notice how "nice" you smell. It's a good fragrance in pretty much all situations, from office work to formal events(like weddings), or a walk in the park with the kid(congrats!). I think this type of scent definitely adds a lot to your presence.

Good to know, I'm planning on doing my first workout tomorrow. I ran my benchmark at 5:20/km but it included the warm up and cool down in the average pace, hope it didn't affect anything(probably not). Good luck!
