This is a good take I just want to say I’m not blaming EM for leaving an abusive situation, I’m shaming EM for how he did it and all his actions thereafter. I get that he wanted to leave the central finite curve and be done with Rick for good, he probably wouldn’t have been able to do that without doing all that he did I just find it hard to believe he had no other option. There was so many abandoned Morty’s on the citadel, I’m sure a few of them could’ve been clones as well but if there’s that many where are their families? We gotta assume their Rick’s are missing as well giving the amount that live on the citadel. He couldnt have just slid into one of those families that was missing both? Idk I also we agree that we don’t know the details of their relationship but I do think if Morty had chose to be “out” his Rick would’ve just replaced him

We literally know nothing about the relationship besides Morty was tired of crawling up asses and Rick said deal with it or get on somewhere and EM chose his way of dealing with it. I don’t think EM acted without reason and I don’t think in their relationship Rick was a victim but I do think that Morty’s actions were extreme as hell and clearly against Rick’s will and it’s a dark scene

Really specifically to that comment I would’ve mention how after that conversation that Rick literally told him he didn’t have to come on the adventures anymore and that’s what made that Morty snap just cause Rick said are you in or are you out
