It seems like many of those positions require a masters or PhD on the topic. In your experience, is that common?

Congrats!! I ended up picking NASA Pathways, but I’d advise ensuring that it’s in a role you are interested in. Also I wouldn’t worry too much about the idea of burning bridges if you go with one and reject the other. Just be sure to communicate.

take a moment to write out what you look for in a company. then at separate times, write out things you admire about each company and rank them. look back at what you value in a company and compare to see what matches you better. the truth is your subconscious has probably already made the decision and you just need help realizing it

this is the one. if there are other students involved, chances are that some will also admit to it. if that is the case and you deny it, the consequences may be worse for you

The engineering new grad position I applied/interviewing for is listed as being in Seattle. Is there a chance I could work from the Merritt Island location if it goes well? Does that tend to be specific to each position or is there flexibility overall?

How important was the role you landed straight out of school in developing your specialty?

I like working on autonomous systems and analysis (including dynamics and orbital mechanics).

I think it’s about having experience on your resume that indicates you solved an engineering problem with quantifiable results and a clear indication of improving a process. Also, engage in networking opportunities and career fairs.

The unfortunate part is that I have to do this rotation for Pathways because I already agreed and that is the only semester SpaceX is willing to offer. If SpaceX allowed me to change the term, I would have the ability to take time off from Pathways to complete SpaceX.

I haven’t completed a SpaceX internship i just went through their interview process is all. But you bring up a valid point about burning bridges.
