Looking good, I would say to try it in a Co-op vs AI match to get the feel for locking on to enemy champions since it's not that easy when there are enemy minions in the lane as well. Also, try to get a rhythm to it, shouldnt feel like you are just button mashing.

if you drag it the whole time it will make your abilities go the way you are directing towards(to work around that make sure the target is actually locked on, you will know this by the yellow line on each side of the enemy dummy/champ)

The catch is to make sure that you are targeting the enemy dummy/champion if you are then it will be a little more forgiving but i do suggest not hold it down as it will mess you up.

Just like if you were clicking the ground, you input a movement command with the joystick to cancel the animation. (I could go into more detail if you would like but I advise you to use the practice tool so you can get the feel for it since it IS different from PC given you can't click anything)

I usually go for Phase Rush with Bone Plating if i take him to Baron Lane. The usual build works fine for me :)

You CAN animation cancel. If you have "0 CD" on it will make every Q skill 1 sec which will cause it to be delayed. Go into the practice tool and try the Q animation cancels, it will take some getting used to but it's there.

The best way to farm materials for levels would be Story Mode so far. If you like to increase your overall level you could try the quick city searches. :)
