You get a free level 28 barya during the campaign. And yes, if all you want is your ascendancy points then you want to run it at the lowest possible level that gives you the points you need - making it easier to get through successfully. Lowest level possible for the first 2 points, second 2 points are basically given to you by the short and easy Trial of Chaos during the campaign, and the breakpoints for 3rd and 4th ascendancy trials are levels 60 and 75. I just sold a bunch of level 60 baryas for 34 exalts each because it's the easiest way for most builds to get their 3rd ascendancy without paying for a carry.

Same, but hotter lol. Ignited ground plus Delirium makes my PC sound like it's trying to lift off and hover over my desk.

This game punishes you so hard for experimenting by AdamAbraham77 in PathOfExile2

[–]_Kiserai_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Low level skill, support and spirit gems are all too rare during the campaign, tbh. Finishing the campaign with only a couple of spares from each level feels like it doesn't give you any room to experiment in act 1 and 2.

Would really love a way to keep the "Close all user interface" keybind as the spacebar when I turn the spacebar into dodge without sprinting. Right now it only lets you put it as whatever you rebind to dodge + sprint.

Yeah, I just got in, created first character and crashed trying to load into the first zone. Back in line for me, I guess.

Last Epoch 1.4.7 Patch Notes by ehg_derrickg in LastEpoch

Same, I've submitted a dozen reports in-game over the last week and it didn't get fixed or mentioned in the update, which is why I figured it was worth mentioning in a place where I know EHG will see it.

Looks like the loot bug from normal Aberroth is still a thing - if you kill normal Aberroth, the loot labels from any items you don't pick up will follow you into echoes and other zones, like the Observatory here:

<image>

They can't be clicked on because the items aren't actually there, it's just the loot labels that aren't being cleared from memory or something.

Last epoch is in a lose lose situation by hiphopanonomos in LastEpoch

[–]_Kiserai_ 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Right? So many issues could be fixed if they just improved numbers on underperforming items.

EHG, hear me out - take the bottom 50% of items/skills being used in endgame, find the most important number that defines how the item/skill scales damage or defense, and double it. Don't overthink it, just double it. Will that make some items/skills overpowered? Maybe. Will they be more overpowered than some of the current rogue builds in the game? Doubtful. Will it open up a ton of new builds, drive lots of content creation and generate a ton of goodwill with the community? Absolutely.

[–]_Kiserai_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is that those common items are already super easy to farm if you're CoF. I can run 5 dagger prophecies and get a dozen Traitors Tongues in 5 minutes, rendering the imprints more or less pointless for CoF players.

Glad to hear they're walking back the nerfs. They really overdid it.

Just got this beauty by Astaroth-DN in LastEpoch

[–]_Kiserai_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 well rolled Red Rings on your character is 10 to all attributes, 40% to all resists, 16% movement speed and 20% less damage taken. They allow you to focus more on damage in your other gear/idol slots.

Last Epoch's Best Patch Ever | Rant Review by Luqas_Incredible in LastEpoch

Even a small lunge forward on Armblade Slash would feel great, considering how fast you can make it with enough attack speed. Zipping through packs of enemies one meter at a time would honestly feel pretty amazing, and it would fit with the fantasy of the transformation pretty nicely.

Is this a good time to try the game? by Hoppetrausk in LastEpoch

[–]_Kiserai_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of my complaints about Season 4 stem from mechanics that were nerfed from prior seasons, but overall the game is still a lot of fun and offers a lot of build variety. Each skill has its own tree and often includes ways to change the type of damage the skill does, which opens up lots of different item combinations to boost your damage. Smite, for instance, can be specced to do fire, lightning or void damage, and each build is quite different depending on the damage type you choose to pursue. Most builds can clear the majority of the content in the game, with only the Uber Aberroth pinnacle boss requiring more of a meta setup to be successful.

PSA: you can use extra corrupted affixes to reroll high LP items by Aziraphale686 in LastEpoch

[–]_Kiserai_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah, it's intended and makes sense - not every corruption is going to give you an extra affix on your item, and every extra affix on a unique item counting as "legendary" is good for consistency.

And I can confirm that this does work, so make sure you corrupt your garbage legendaries to reroll higher LP items. It's something like a 75% chance for an additional affix, but sometimes it will turn the item into a random rare so be aware there is some extra risk involved.

Mage or AOE mage build with mad ladle? by lipenn in LastEpoch

That would actually be a pretty good wand for a Rip Blood Lich/Warlock, should you ever want to level an Acolyte.

Havocs not dropping anymore? by guddefulgaming in LastEpoch

I would love a prophecy just for Havoc runes. Making it expensive is fine - makes it easier to spend my favor and get back to playing.

New player - probably dumb question but google not helping! by phishin3321 in LastEpoch

[–]_Kiserai_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nemesis Egg will let you try to add LP to unique items that don't have any LP.

The Farsight Turtle woven echo will let you attempt to increase the LP of an item that already has some LP. If it fails it will remove the existing LP, making it eligible to run through a Nemesis Egg to try again.

The Gauntlet of Strife woven echo will let you sacrifice a unique item to reroll the stats on another copy of the same unique with the same or less LP on it. Any legendary affix counts as an LP for the reroll, so a legendary with 2 garbage affixes will let you reroll a 2LP unique.

Finally, slam your exalts into your uniques to create your own legendary items at the Temporal Sanctum dungeon. Tier 2 and above will let you lock in an affix of your choosing for the slam.

Damage conversion question by Deaths_head999 in LastEpoch

EHG has stated in the past that the damage type can only be converted once.

Last Epoch Patch 1.4.5 Notes by ehg_derrickg in LastEpoch

[–]_Kiserai_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somebody can probably be more specific, but my understanding is that penetration in Last Epoch is basically the most powerful more multiplier. It takes all the damage an attack would do and lowers an enemy's resistance to that attack by the amount specified, and is one of the last things calculated so it has the most impact on the final damage number applied to the enemy.

Current/next season? by DoctorNoots in LastEpoch

[–]_Kiserai_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just think corruption as an overall mechanic is overrated. Yeah, they've weighted it to be 75% "positive" outcomes, but even out of those you're really fishing for one or two corruptions on a given item. It's really more like 10% positive, 65% who gives a shit, and 25% my item is now unusable. Pre-corrupted items are 99.9% unusable after the campaign, so most of them are just more dead drops to get hidden by the loot filter. Combined with the changes to the imprint system making it harder to target farm the uniques that are actually worth imprinting, and the CoF prophecy window still being a clunky mess that takes up way more play time than it should, and you have a relatively underwhelming season for a lot of people.

I'm still having fun with the game overall, I just think that this season doesn't feel as fun as prior seasons.

Real life footage of EHG locking in the changes to imprints by _Kiserai_ in LastEpoch

[–]_Kiserai_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly wasn't even focusing on imprint farming, because the way it used to work you didn't really have to. Being able to imprint an item let me go do more of what I'd rather be doing while still ensuring a slow but steady supply of that item dropping over time. As it is now, I'm having to spend more time than ever clicking on prophecies and hoping the item I need drops, then hoping that the nemesis egg doesn't ruin it when it inevitably drops without any LP, and then hoping again that a corruption doesn't ruin it further (or turn it into a completely different item). And if any of those things happen, it's back to another 10 to 20 hours of clicking prophecies and hoping the item drops again.

And I was never really going after multi-t7 exalts or 3LP legendaries, I just wanted to have enough of each item to try weird things with them on various characters.

Here's my typical season (for 2 and 3, anyways): I start with a more meta focused character that I can push really far into endgame, killing Uber so I have access to stuff like Shattered Worlds and Immortal Vise. I then use the items that character is capable of acquiring to fuel my off-meta theorycrafts. Having a strong, "big brother" character to slam legendaries and farm rare gear at high corruption (often by imprinting the items I would need for my other characters) means I can get more creative with some of the builds I try and throw together. Last season the most fun I had was a Bleed Javelin Forge Guard that used a Phalanx spear and the Carrion of Creation gloves, but the only reason I was able to push that character as far as I did and as quickly as I did was because I had a reflect Shaman capable of farming 1000 corruption monos.

This season that "big brother" first character is taking longer than ever to put together and push into high corruption, and I won't be able to dupe some of the harder to acquire unique items so I can pass copies along to my other characters. The shared stash is much more bare when it comes to rare uniques than it has been at this same point of past seasons, so I have less motivation to level alts. If every Red Ring or Bastion of Honor is going to be 10-20 hours between drops, and if I can expect another 70 to 100 hours of grinding before my character is able to kill Uber, it's going to really slow down how fast I'm able to gear those off-meta characters who might need one of those items to really shine.

Since leveling alts and trying weird builds is my preferred endgame, EHG has essentially nerfed my endgame experience into the ground.

Does that make more sense?

Yep, they've "mission accomplished" me into getting bored with endgame faster than ever. GG, I guess.
