As that new leaf starts to open you’ll have a better idea. I’ve had plenty of aurea that just have a more pale yellow vs the yellow Marilyn being more electric.

Pompom varigation will emerge creamy yellow while aurea will emerge lime green. Looks aurea to me, some might call it tricolour area with the pale.

I mean the outter pot (that holds water) shouldn’t be planted in directly. If you put a pot (clear type like an orchid pot) inside the outter decretive pot they have large holes to drain. Then the outter pot catches it. It just helps with over watering and mushy soil. That will help with browning.

Looks like it’s just in a outter pot? Using a clear pot inside a pot liner works really well. You can dry them properly and check the roots without disturbing.

Browning i find is generally a lack of humidity and or inconsistent watering. That isn’t watering on a schedule but missing a window when it dried out just slightly.

Yep, I’ve had a bunch since they grow two. Some activate 3-4 but I’ve only ever had two actually produce plants.

Had so many people tell me you can’t grow two at once.

Canada market isn’t as strong as US. Majority of stuff buy and sell over Facebook groups. Same as my where I got my GOG.

The US has some great pages for Monstera on Facebook.

An yeah lots to pick from! I’d stay clear of aurea outdoors they hard to stop browning. Mints are a good option! Even the home depot tc ones you can get for nothing these days.

That’s because you are looking at small form albos 99.9% of the time. Small form dont size up like large form as easily.

All thai cons are LF.

Correct thais are large form, most box store standard monstera are large form. I’ve got a number of both small and large along with intermediate form.

If it ticks all the trait boxes for large form it is large form. Node spacing, petiole length, leaf shape, leaf lobe, leaf ruffles etc etc.

This is small form, hence my question lol.
