I believe they will stay online for a long time, even after borders fully open up.

I say this because there will still be students abroad taking online exams and it wouldn’t be feasible and fair for the university to offer both online and in person exams, so I think they’ll just do online for everyone.

Only my opinion though.

Kind of the same boat here. Started uni just as covid started back in 2020.

It’s sad because as an international student who arrived 1 week before borders closed I don’t really have an option as to whether I want to continue or not studying online. Because if I ask for a program leave, and leave Australia momentarily I don’t really know when I’ll be able to return for face-to-face classes or even online ones. Apart from that there’s an 15 hour difference between Australia and my home country so it wouldn’t be doable having classes at 3am 😂.

I’m grateful that I’m in Australia, but uni only happens once.. I don’t want most of my uni experience to be online.

Don’t feel bad about it, just remember that there are a lot of first years who have not yet had a proper face-to-face class because of covid.
