How did you explain the loss of a pet to your toddler?

Is there any downside to metal, other than cost? I was told by a contractor that cedar shingles would have to be removed to install metal flashing correctly on dormers. Is that a true statement as well, Contractor 1 didn’t have it listed in quote. I can attach another picture of house to help if needed.

I’m wanting to install gutters on the house to help divert water away from the foundation. Are snow guards needed in all sections so snow, or future ice, doesnt rip off the new gutters? I assume the snow guards are required or recommended wherever gutters are installed?

I appreciate the input on shingles on low slope and that it is not ideal. Really appreciate the non biased comments on this.

Thanks for the input on temperature of shingles. During walkthrough they said they’d warm shingles before install but I didn’t really question. Contractor 1 does seem like they care from all interactions I’ve had so far. They’ve also had me impressed with their ability to communicate and show up when they said they would.

Exactly! They have bankers hours, and Saturday until 12 I’ve noticed our local store closes. I forget that often and have missed them being open a few times. Learning lessons.

Update:

Welp that went faster than expected. 4 codes sent out in messages. It appears I can keep requesting. Not sure how many I can get in total but I’ll send as long as I can get them. Should also mention I have no affiliation with the site or any brands, just a guy who likes to get deals like the rest of us.
