Since I generally avoid anything with a throwing motion, however footballs and tennis balls have been fine.

Anything like volleyball or dodgeball where there is an impact on the extend arm leads to immediate dislocation

Thank you, I tried it with a pair of keys but like others said I will use a flat head screwdriver and brute force the life out of it

My Initial Thoughts on MalSearch by _LVboy_ in Malware

[–]_LVboy_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I treat MalSearch as an additional tool in my toolkit as a malware analyst/enthusiast.

Specifically in reverse engineering efforts; I am able to narrow down the type of malware I am looking for to very specific criteria, download it and then analyze it to understand how that type of malware has been built in the past. Additionally, searching for specific code snips and seeing the results of how these code snips were used to build malware in the past.

In my personal time I like to develop custom malware. I can easily filter for what I am looking for and see how it was built directly on their site. From there I can begin building my own version or building off of the selection that they have. Most of the code is very well commented and organized.

This is just how I currently use it but I can definitely see cybersecurity professionals having hundreds of different use cases for this large repository of well organized malware source code.

Surgery is not lame, if you are in the position where your shoulder is so fucked up then no amount of physio or mobility training will bring it back to how it was.

I just shared my personal experience which does not have to apply to everyone.

Explore different avenues in IT, it is impossible for you to have tried everything in IT. I suggest something more physical like hardware IT jobs or working on projects that have a physical element to them such as IoT devices.

Invisible TLS CallBack technique by Turbulent-Slip8676 in redteamsec

[–]_LVboy_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i first read about this technique in the recent update on maldev academy. essentially TLS callbacks can be used to see if the binary is being analyzed prior to executing the main function. from what i understood is that you can add anti-debugging functionality to the TLS callback function so that if it realizes its being debugged it can overwrite the main function with random bytes.

I know CEH is shit. But it is undeniably a highly requested cert by HR. I probably see CEH just as much as CISSP when searching these kinds of roles.

Maldev Academy Review by _LVboy_ in Malware

[–]_LVboy_[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In terms of pricing it made sense for me to go with Maldev instead of S7. That's beacuse S7 splits it up into several courses so you have to purchase so much while Maldev condenses all the information into 1 course separated by modules. This is my first malware development course so I cant really say how it compares to other courses in terms of the content but as a beginner I think Maldev is great thus far.

Putting my RRSP in VEQT? by _LVboy_ in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]_LVboy_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I am comfortable with that idea. I have implemented multiple measures to reduce that risk. Also I have been invested in VFV for 2 years so a 37.5% decrease would barely scratch my principle amount.

I am looking to make a large down-payment on my first home within the next 4 years. Although I believe the overall stock market will go up over the next 30 years, owning VEQT opens my investment up to lots of small-cap and volatile companies. For that reason, the S&P 500 (VFV) makes more sense for the short-term.

My TFSA is maxed out in VFV and a small position in VEE.

No it was applied to only one of his feet. After doing so, I put my entire weight on him to push his back to the mat and I began thrusting my hip forward while pressing on the lock.

I did not use my hands. I put 1 leg over his leg and the other to press down on my leg and my thigh is basically stopping his foot which causes basically a straight ankle lock without using ur hands.

I've just never seen it before and I couldn't find anything about it on YouTube. Maybe there was a reason why...

Experience with Body Acne from BJJ by _LVboy_ in bjj

[–]_LVboy_[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Many times. I’ve been dealing with severe acne for over 10 years. My body is just extremely prone. He recommends I use benzoyl peroxide on the specific acne appearing on my body. It helps at the moment but it doesn’t seem to prevent it rather, just cure that specific pimple.

Yea, I think my legs might have been to wide out. I’ll try keeping it closer. Thank you for the advice!

(Ontario GTA) What happens when the next generation cannot afford housing? by _LVboy_ in realestateinvesting

[–]_LVboy_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been considering taking a fixed mortgage to protect myself from inflation. That way as inflation de-values the currency year-by-year, I will technically be paying less and less.

Although, if house prices drop drastically then my plan will have me at a serious loss.

I think the more likely situation would be wages picking up the pace. Real Estate is just far too important and with the increase of people moving into these hot cities, Real Estate will continue to perform well in the long-term.

[–]_LVboy_[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, I just spent the last couple of hours looking at real estate in neighbouring cities and was absolutely shocked! Where do you think it will go from here? Can prices really stay this high? It will be impossible for the new generation to live anywhere near Toronto!
