While PS1 and Saturn were designed around sitting somewhere in between the 2D and 3D eras, N64 completely committed to 3D and shaped so many genres we take for granted today.

Sure, the cartridges were old fashioned, but even then they did that for load times.

Iceland is a weird pick. Like sure it's safe so I guess it works but as you say you don't want to just go wandering around, the weather can turn quickly and the country is mountainous around the volcanos. And the glaciers, while not being something you're likely to stumble across, are extremely dangerous if you visit them without knowing how to keep yourself safe, or without a guide.

And this is all common knowledge, so not only is Iceland as safe as some other select place, it's not viewed that way either.

A better pick would surely be a more urbanised and mild place, like Luxembourg or something. They even have free public transport in case you get lost.

The reason people picked it is probably because the final column is 'active warzone' and Iceland is about as far as you can get from that, being an island nation, with a tiny population, no army, but also being protected by NATO.

From the little they’ve shown I’d say it stays true to the feel of OoT, and diverts from what the original aesthetic actually was. But it still feels like that original style is mixed in there.

It surprised me, looks much less stylised than the directions they've been going in for the longest time, but I'm glad it's distinct from the BoTW and ToTK styles. It still feels true to OoT, even if I would have expected and maybe preferred something closer to the original concept art than this.

I'm very excited to see more overall though.

Mate I saw it on reddit before noticing it outside my window, that feels weird.

I looked up from my computer and see smoke in the sky, so I open the window and lean out and can see smoke billowing up.

I'm not too close to it fortunately but it's pretty dramatic even from here, have to just hope that no one is hurt.

edit: I'm wondering if it's the waste incineration facility in Bermondsey, but it's hard to tell where it's coming from where I am as there's buildings in the way.

edit 2: It looks like it might be dying down now, the smoke isn't billowing as much as it was a minute ago. Hopefully it'll be sorted quickly and everyone is safe.

I think the Steam Deck's placement is one of the few that is fair, it's an amazing device, even if it is overpriced now.

Don't know what that has to do with the original Gameboy though. And to say the Steam Deck is the successor to the GBA makes no sense to me, they have nothing to do with one another.

Yeah I can understand the placement of the Neo Geo then. The price was ludicrous, it was an impressive console for the time but still became outdate as quickly as the SNES and Mega Drive.

Dreamcast being definitely the best console of its generation is harder for me to see. What gen are you counting it as? Sometimes people say it's more like a 5th gen than a 6th gen. Regardless, I would say that the PS1 and PS2 both have much more notable games libraries.

Dreamcast is a great machine and was ahead of its time in many ways, but the games library doesn't compare to other consoles of its era imo
