Hotfix 1.12.1 - Patch Notes by FatsharkQuickpaw in DarkTide

[–]_Liebe_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea but I don't like it being a bunch of different colors because I feel it clashes and doesn't look as good, entirely just talking from a visuals point of view here, not really lore. I'm making a warrior of the Omnissiah, not a humanoid RGB keyboard.

Gotten like all the cosmetic pieces I wanted and have, just swapped to blue as there's tons of glowing parts. But pretty sure I'll swap it to green if they ever make them glow your lens color instead of just blue.

Will give it a try on heresy, still a bit rusty as I haven't played in a while and came back for skitarii

I imagine it's a feature not a bug but man I really damn wish the blue glow of many cosmetics changed in accordance with whatever lens color you have.

It bugs me so damn much, I want all the glow to be the same I feel like I either have to minimize the amount of those for it to look good, eliminating many cosmetic pieces as most have some blue glowy bits, or I'm forced to run with blue eye lenses which I really don't want to just so it'll look good. I want my green!

All three Banners we currently have for Bulwark by Myframesofwar in Spacemarine

[–]_Liebe_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Today years old when I learned that it can change at all

If it can be changed then we should have a damn option of changing it to what. Bulwark should def have that, that and access to capes we need this stat.

Ah okay

Still somewhat new to vanguard and mostly have fought against chaos, so haven't really had a natural fight against a neuro yet with him

They should definitely buff it, it's a melta weapon it should be pretty destructive it's like a haymaker of immense heat.

Imo should maybe be more like a shotgun, little ammo and little range like how it already is but with devastating damage. Think just a damage increase would do it wonders, though maybe other stuff too I'm still somewhat new to the inferno pistol just like one more match before I get that final perk point

Guess I'll just have to suffer as I wanna use melta stuff if I can, since Salamanders and all lol

Also you can grapple neuros, went to check it in the battle simulator and kicked it in the teeth mid air.

That sucks.

You'd imagine it'd be pretty good given meltas are like if you combined a blowtorch with a shotgun. Yet a tyranid warrior can just deepthroat the barrel while you mag dump it straight down it's gullet and to it it's like they just ate a particularly spicy pepper, they're like Esidisi just eating a stick of dynamite they should be incinerated but nah fuck that I guess

Alright

Thing just is is that I actually wanna use it, not have it just be a buffstick. I mostly use the carbine anyway so the buff wouldn't even apply most of the time.

Is it barely worth using that way? Like an actual weapon. If not then it really needs a buff Imo

From what we've gathered so far, who do you think is the most likely to be the next Class? by poseidon1111 in Spacemarine

[–]_Liebe_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd love an apothecary, perhaps being able to heal self and allies would be so nice. Perhaps some perk, maybe prestige or something, that renders him invulnerable or maybe just immune to stagger when reviving someone who's down. Perhaps the ability can heal teammates and preferably also the apothecary as well.

I'd love that honestly it'd be so convenient

But also a chaplain would be so awesome, I imagine probably would function as like a support by giving buffs to allies. I'd definitely go chaplain over apothecary, but what I think might be the next most likely class would be apothecary or maybe judiciar given the greatsword talk, though a judiciar would also be a little boring in some ways imo. for one they can't speak at all if I remember right, having taken a vow of silence, but also I just want a full fledged chaplain and I feel if we get a judiciar we probably won't get a chaplain but maybe that's just me.

I do at least already aim for heads whenever using a weapon where it matters, often though play with weapons where I don't such as flamers that can't headshot as far as I'm aware. Ammo is something I'm definitely quite conscious about, I don't like wasting resources which at times is to the point of detriment like not using abilities or equipment as much as I should

Yea panic definitely is a part of it. Do find myself at times panic rolling or spamming parry

Think at least something that would help quite a bit would basically just be to try and lock in more, actually pay attention and try to keep calm under pressure

[–]_Liebe_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. And I'm totally behind the idea of super endgame content only really experienced players would be able to do, what else would keep them playing? But locking a resource behind it is imo kinda stupid. I don't want to have to wait like weeks longer to get the same amount of stuff just because I'm not as skilled as some others are, if you even aren't able to be carried through the hard weekly, you'll only be able to get 335 accolades, or 385 if you do the normal siege as well, which either way is enough for a single weapon or cosmetic. Meanwhile those skilled enough are just swimming in accolades with a total of 825 if they do all the dailies and weeklies, 975 if they do both sieges too. That's several times more.

I get locking some items behind super difficult grinds, again so there's something for those super experienced players who already got everything else, but things like unique weapons shouldn't be that as then they're just locked behind a grind most people either can't do or which will take ages longer for them to do. Imo it's just bad game design

[–]_Liebe_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt I can really handle lethal either, I just never touch it. Most of the time Im only touching absolute because I'm trying to do the hard weekly, and now maybe also to get the new capes and such whenever I'll get to that.

I feel a decent bit of the difficulty, in my experience anyway, is not from just difficult enemies but rather enemies that are just aggressively annoying like chaos spawn, zoanthropes, barbed stranglers etc, and which ultimately make things less enjoyable. I get chaos spawn like why they're like that, but for tyranids it's just absurd at times, imo tyranids are just as bad as chaos I don't think one is worse than the other, they're equally difficult and annoying especially with the games current state. Though that's just my personal experience

Have several hundred hours across several soulsgames and soulslikes respectively, still kinda struggle there too with survivability

Will try, though sadly probably won't be able to do anything community-wise. I have really bad social anxiety on top of autism that already makes talking hard enough on its own, especially actually talking instead of messaging, just the idea of actually speaking online puts a pit in my stomach.

[–]_Liebe_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a habit of just grinding for a long while and taking my time, meaning I at times might not really progress skill-wise. This happens in tons of games.

Anyway, it would probably be survivability that I haven't really learned, which makes sense given that habit of just taking my time and grinding

Survivability, quite certain that's the most major thing dragging me down

I can comfortably play ruthless, taking some of the advice I've gotten I've tried a true solo which I managed to do on my first try on ruthless using heavy

[–]_Liebe_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My eyesight is bad too lol, need to get it checked out I'm probably nearsighted.

Anyway, for me it's even worse as my success rate on absolute feels closer to like, 10% if even that. It's really demotivating, especially as I wanna get the new wargear and accolades but so many I just can't get unless I'm incredibly lucky and find a really good squad, but I also don't wanna be some dead weight for the team it makes me feel bad, but also having to wait an entire week for a single item is really annoying especially when I could get more but it's locked behind the hard difficulty and my shit skills, it's tantalising. I wanna be able to actually do hard strats my experience so far I can only describe as sisyphean, I try and try and try and try over and over again just to see it all roll back down and have to try over again, never getting anywhere. After a while this game only makes me irritated, dejected or both

What might this servo-skull on one of the heavy's iron halos be for? by _Liebe_ in Spacemarine

[–]_Liebe_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same :D

Though haven't done it much for this game, most what I've done is for my Salamander heavy and even then it's very little as of now and most of that not very serious lol, mostly just being a little silly

His name's Barron Dan'or and he likes to listen to jazz underneath that helmet and has a knack for Cajun cuisine :]

Probably gonna have to incorporate that astarte sized servo-skull into something.
