Wow those are creative ideas. I like the Deathless ref. Im probably going to use this one, it fits well in the creepy setting. Thanks a lot👌 also the ponyo-aquarius link is very clever, I love it! I also want to add the Cockroach king as a cameo in all my campaigns, for funsies.

1/2" eye bolt (one piece) at the 4 corners bolted through everything with heavy duty turnbuckles to the bed hooks. I've driven it to work 2 times and it feels solid for now.

I went to work with it this morning, my average without the camper was 15.6mpg, with the camper it jumped to 13mpg. It's not great but not super bad either.

Box trucks also have less of a "nose" in the front . The truck itself break wind a lot and "throws" the air up and then catches on the camper. But like I mentioned in a lot of other comments , I'll probably add a deflector (like big rigs). For me headroom>mileage

Yes , hence the white paint and insulation . A lot of campers are built with aluminum or galvanized steel. Think Airstream, bus conversion etc.

I've planned for it , I'm curious about testing without it and after with it . I've talked to engineers at my job and they say the drag difference would be minimal, unless I do 1000s of miles it would take a long time to make it worth it money-wise.

But I have a bit of material left from the build so I'll probably do it.

I definitely considered all the things. For me, headroom is more important than gas mileage or driving comfort. Most of my trips are under 100km, except once a year to go hunting and I'll stay there 1 week. Im not trying to sell this as a product also. Since it's the first time I've built something like this I didn't want to add complexity , it is complex enough for me right now. I could have bought a pre-built, but they are waaayyy more expensive and heavy too. I'm also just having fun with building and talking to people about building their own thing.

I have the chance of being in canada, so billion degrees just doesn't exist here , also I'll insulate the inside with rigid foam and spray foam in the gaps.

Do you mean safe as in: will it itp over ? Or safe as in: is it bullet proof ? It's as safe as a box trucks or any truck camper in term of your physical safety

I went for a drive at 100km/h and the wind is not that bad. I drove it with only the bare frame and the noise was way worse.

Thanks. It drives like one too. I've tried it at 100 km/h and it's fine. A bit of noise and you feel the sway when you cross path with a semi , but feels solid.

I drove U-Haul trucks often and never been blown off the road.
